  1. Looking god here as well. I think you can do a lot with the onboard controls.
  2. I like the overall look with EA although dusk and dawn are too colorful in my view. But I think it's just a question of getting the shader tweaks to work with EA. Currently, you can also try v5 without truesky but with Envtex/Envshade. This can look really good.
  3. Skywolf, do you have any GTN installed? The RXP or the F1 and if yes with which trainer version from Garmin? And does the trainer work normally under 2004? There is a longer other thread where there were some issues with the trainer and 2004.
  4. I think so. But it also seems to decide when your VRAM usage is getting critical and turns off EA then. Not sure about this, but it fits my observations.
  5. Try unchecking the Dynamic texture streaming box, helped me to keep EA on. I am running 4K with 4MSAA, sufficient for me visually. Clouds down to high or medium and since then my 8GB VRAM are enough. I have the bad habit to have a browser with multiple tiles open on a second screen, costs up to 500MB so watching the VRAM usage regularly helps. Obviously, the scenery and the aircraft chosen play a big role. My primary usage is either ORBX US/AU or France VFR Photoreal scenery with GA aircraft. I am quite sure that a heavy jet and a huge airport scenery on top will make things risky. In this case, running v5 without EA and some visual improvements with ENVTEX/ENVSHADE are an alternative.
  6. Looks like the Ddenn Challenger but the livery seems new to me.
  7. I asked SIMUL about sun and moon and they replied that those remain fully customisable. No restrictions through SIMUL. And you see the textures in the truesky/textures folder which you can change. But once EA is loaded sun and moon look again the same.
  8. I wonder why people are talking about the price now. 200 to buy, 10 a month to rent, 20? Who cares as long as you can't even see anything close to a "final" product. In flight simming we have seen so many empty promises over the years that it's better to hold your breath. This is like the mirror to dev's standard answer "it will be ready when it's ready". I say "I may pay for if it's ready and if I like it".
  9. VRAM usage so far the same as before for me. CTD's not yet encountered. Textures sharp with the help of Reshade. FPS locked at 30 with Riva, otherwise in the mid to upper 40's with the Carenado PC-12 in X-Europe environment. Next tests with the Zibo coming this weekend. I think they are on the right path. 11.41 still a little bit ahead with X-Vision but 11.50 and Vulkan are slowly catching up. I like the stability of FPS Vulkan brings.
  10. Yes, running fine so far with my X-Europe Scenery which is quite demanding. Hoping to conduct longer flights this weekend. The Laminar guys are great, they not only are inventive, they are also open about their development, they can acknowledge if they screw something up and they usually fix it quickly. I like this team.
  11. Would buying the small 100 USD TrueSky license give us the chance to change the parameters for sun and moon? Seems like a strange investment, but maybe well worth it. Gerald, keep up the great work. You may eventually make a new PTA 🙂
  12. Hi Jean-Luc, Now you are confusing me. Wasn't it a point that the RXP GTN addresses the trainer differently than the F1 one? With other words, if not, then my original point that a laggy trainer will affect both GTN add-ons in the same way. Am I missing something?
  13. No worries. We are all here to help each other. The Flightsim world is very complex and there are so many variables one can get lost easily. Regarding the GTN, there is always the base trainer from Garmin no matter which platform or GTN product you use. This trainer is differently addressed by the available two GTN products. Thus, the results can vary substantially. On X-Plane with the RXP GTN you have a good chance of bypassing some current issues with the latest Win 2004 build. However, if you have issues have a look at the knowledge base this forum is. PM me as well if you think I can help.
  14. Does the Trainer rely on the.NET Framework? Yesterday, there was an update for this available and after installing it I got crashes of the Trainer under Win10 1909. If that .NET update is part of the Win10 2004 upgrade, this might explain some issues. But I am just guessing here.
  15. Let me try this again. I just checked it a few days ago with a take off for visuals only. Which aircraft did you use?
  16. Never had any issues in PNW, neither in v4 or v5. For me, one of the most stable regions you can fly in. Of course, YMMV depending on aircraft and add.on settings. But I am pretty sure that the region is not the culprit. I started virtual flying there and always come back with good memories and new experience. KSEA and the city are a hog though, but that's well known.
  17. Thanks, maybe I should consider moving completely to RXP. I'll see what happening when 2004 is pushed again to my computer. The last time I installed it from the insider program.
  18. Hi Jean-Luc, I have both your GTN and the one from F1. I use yours in X-Plane only and the other in Prepar3D only. Thus, when the 6.62 Trainer lags with the F1 GTN I would always end up with one lagging GTN in one primary sim. I am sure that this is an issue that can be solved and I am also quite sure that it does not affect all machines with Win10 2004. It would be interesting to know if anyone on 2004 who has a lagging trainer still enjoys normal operation with the RXP GTN. This would certainly make a big point for your product which I by no means wanted to criticize by my statement. From my layman's knowledge it was hard to imagine that the add-on can remove a limitation of the trainer. But if it can it's another reason to opt for RXP.
  19. So rolling back the trainer to v 6.50 didn't help either?
  20. Are you on 2004? Check the trainer stand alone. If it's laggy then no GTN in plane addon can help. That's what made me roll back to 1909. There will be a fix for sure but it may take until the trainer is updated. Might also only happen on some systems. Here seems to be a solution

  22. His name is Jorge, sorry. Please see this link:
  23. Quick question: Is it normal that Envtex injection times are so long? It's running for more than 15 minutes now.
  24. Better have another one. It's very easy once you get the idea, but at first I was lost as well. PM me if necessary, happy to help. I am on CEST time, so off soon but back in about 9 hours.
