  1. Just simple experience. I'd be very happy to see an update which repairs more than it breaks. That's all. I am always in for a surprise.
  2. Nobody is expecting this to be a fix for bugs, or are you? If so, then be prepared for another disappointment. The right way moving forward would be to leave it as is for a while and then address the bugs one after another. Instead we will probably get a few nice trees tomorrow and the mod creators will have to redo their work so that some basic stuff works. It's called progress in 2020.
  3. Count me in. But as the saying goes "You can check out any time you like but you can never leave".
  4. Nail in the coffin for the sim but great promo for MS. I will never understand why people are following a wordnotallowed gal like her or similar subjects. It should read "a" sim not "the" sim. This "sim" is invulnerable it seems.
  5. I tried a couple of sensitivity settings. No joy.
  6. Great work and a big addition to the community. Unfortunately, for me the Bonanza is one of the aircraft that I can't control with my setup, only working for me are the Cub and the 930. Everything else is veering of the runway on take off (X52-Logitech Xtreme).
  7. Please count me in for that Goose. Admirable what some people can do.
  8. My controller settings were reset today. Ah, the joy of the cloud, i.e. give up control of what you do.
  9. I have to borrow this picture for my workplace, hope you don't mind.
  10. Then you can't be hanging around here for long, lol. Keep cool, there will be worse things coming along your way here.
  11. Thanks, then these guys are really fast. I just wonder if this is a strategy going forward, chasing a developer who doesn't care that the freeware is better than its own product? Certainly not. I just think that the free addon deserves to be respected somehow. But if you enjoy MSFS as is then please do so. I belong to the minority which thinks that the product is way behind its hype advertising, that's all.
  12. Sad to see this development, but as a true pessimist I did not expect anything else. Some skilled people improve the less than convincing product for free and instead of helping them each update breaks the efforts made before. Not a fine way to deal with your supporters. But understandable from the point of view of power. The only downside to this is that at some point in time, when all target gamers bought that thing, there won't be many serious simmers left to support it. I hope I'll be wrong.
  13. This thing is not a software in development, it's just a moving target, albeit one with potential. They should have given us Alpha Testers half a year more to test everything before release. But guess what, there will be a word not allowed at MS who earned a massive bonus for releasing it now.
  14. Having compared a few scenarios I can't say that I share your observations. REX so far was more accurate. I will continue comparing both options and their results.
  15. Primarily yes, thanks for summarizing it correctly. I believed from the beginning that this issue only came up after 100s of thousands of people accessed the servers at the same time. Otherwise, we would have seen it during the Alpha testing. The remainder is the occasional stutter that all sims have sometimes.
  16. Are you changing this in the current or the always tab? At current, it does not stay changed even within one session of the sim.
  17. I am being told it's the GPU. Now wait, a 7700K vs a 2070 Super should tell me like you it's the CPU right? This all makes no sense, in particular when it all worked like a charm a few months ago in the Alpha.
  18. No, I don't call anyone a liar if I can't prove it. And I believe in Asobo's attempts to create something new. It's just not there, touchable and visible for me. Maybe I am just part of the few who expected more. I am happy for everyone who believes that this is the holy grail.
  19. As I said, I spent about 15 hours this weekend to try. I had a good experience on Alpha 2 with my rig, then it went south. I suppose it's the streaming feature. Stuttering at more than 60fps reminds me of the good old FSX. Hard to understand why the developer mode tells me that my GPU is not good if it achieves these fps, right? Or am I missing something?
  20. Do you have another version than I have? The ATC is a joke.
  21. I have tried everything proposed so far over this weekend. I can get 60 or 24 fps on a 4K screen depending on the "tweaks", but it's always the same visual experience and more or less annoying stuttering. Reminds me of the old times and the endless tweaking discussions. Personally, I believe it's the old engine again that they are selling to us but obviously I cannot prove it. Waiting for improvement at 3,99 a month is ok for me.
  22. I know the theory that a) the tested and release version is not the current one in the hands of the developers (beaten to death in the alpha forums) and b) that features were deliberately taken in and out over the past few months. I don't buy this story and the state of the release version is evidence that it was and is not ready, thus making the preview trailers and pictures at least misleading. In a few months from now, if the development commitment is genuine, the sim should look as advertised. We will see.
