  1. I gave it a try and resetting options did the trick for me! I was able to fill in an ICAO for departure, select a runway and calculate my takeoff performance. Happy about it, I've tried to fo landing calculations while still in climb out of my DEP airport and I had the same issue again on landing performance 🤪😂😂😂 Did another factory reset and landing calculations worked again. Seems like in order to get T/O and LDG calcs done, I need to reset the Navigraph EFB every time before doing so.
  2. Thanks for the hint, just tried it but didn't work. I tried CYDF via the physical keyboard I've got on my desk but still, I can only enter "airport name" and choose a RWY condition from the top down menu and nothing else (just like with the on-screen keyboard). When clicking on "Runway ID", it looks like the line _______________m gets thicker just as a drop down menu would open, but I see nothing more.. See the "less thin" line under -SELECT-?
  3. Oh, well, I remember I've written a post about why I still prefer PFPX over SimBrief somewhere on the internet some time ago. I had a ton of different things that are imho better in PFPX than on S/B without thinking too much about it. Some of them are: - World Map showing everything I need for planning, (like METAR, sunset and sunrise data, aerodrome operating hours, wind, NAT Tracks, etc) - I can define aerodrome operating hours for every airport - Preferred runways: for example, in LOWS, you have got ARR15 and DEP33 for all IFR traffic up to 10kts tailwind. PFPX suggests DEP33 up to this limit and DEP15 when exceeding 10kt tailwind component. And many more airports have preferred runways. - Company NOTAMS: very very important for me as I note everything related to the airport I'm flying to those company NOTAMS. For example, scenery limitations (gates blocked by static aircraft, TWYs not existing in the scenery that exist in R/L), airport specific information like to contact GND after vacating the RWY without any notice from TWR or after DEP switching to APP w/o handoff from TWR. Some airports have got transponder mode C on GND... and so on... - I can save routings with information about stepclimbs, mandatory semicircular rule FL changes by 1000ft, I can define whether the route is odd or even etc... - When computing a flight, I get an OFP which I can just copy to the right side to the scratch pad and edit values in there. For example when PFPX is giving me a RELEASE FUEL of 13596kg, I edit it to 13600 or 14000, 'cause I can't stand odd numbers. - custom OFP templates: I created a custom OFP template with just the information I really need for the flight in order to just have to print just a single sheet (yes, I still print my OFPs, 'cause I need something to write on anyway..) - simbrief sometimes causing troubles when flying online, because it suggests you routes sorted by popularity. Not by making sense or being CFMU valid 😂 See this thread about flightplanning with simbrief: https://forums.vatsim.net/topic/32344-dont-use-simbrief-or-any-other-flightplanning-tool-blindly/#comments - I can track my fuel consumption and get a fuel bias value for every airframe, which leads to spot on fuel predictions for further flights. - Calculated flight times are extremely accurate. On a 3h flight, my flight time is never off more than two or three minutes from what PFPX estimated. I tried simbrief for some time and found those times being less accurate. I could go on for another hour but you get the idea I guess 😊 I know that simbrief is widely used mainly because of it being very comfortable just loading a flightplan into an aicraft EFB but for me personally, PFPX has many features that simbrief still does not offer and therefore PFPX is the way to go 😉
  4. Thanks for your reply! Ok, wow, I'm gutted... Absolutely not usable for people who don't want to use simbrief.. 😅🙈🙈🙈 It took PMDG years to develop an EFB in which you can't even just put the airport values in by your own... don't know what to say..
  5. Yess, tried it but I can't select a runway. Tried it with a couple other ICAO codes too, but unable to get any runways.. Can anyone confirm that the EFB is working without a Navigraph Subscription? I'm asking 'cause in every "tutorial" or introduction on youtube, everyone's just hitting "import from OFP" but I can't do so as I don't use simbrief for planning.
  6. Wanted to try the Navigraph EFB built in the PMDG 737 for the first time today but I can only enter the Airport ICAO and the runway condition and nothing else. No slope, no length etc.. Is this an issue? Wouldn't be surprised if this is designed by PMDG in order to force people into a Navigraph subscription 😂😂
  7. I agree with you on the first part of your post. Over the past 15 years I've completed well over 2000 flights with the PMDG 737 and 747 aircraft and in not a single one of them I thought "oh word not allowed, I could make good use of an EFB right now". I got charts on my second screen, from the FMC I get correct vr and v2 speeds and I can access all aircraft options from there aswell and current METARs do I get from vPilot by just typing .wx ICAO. The single thing I'll use the EFB for is for v1 speeds. Not much. Hence I don't really understand the hype about the PMDG EFB.
  8. I just wonder why PMDG didn't announce the release of the EFB documentation in a separate announcement..?
  9. I noticed that If I start MSFS and the main menu opens, my PC consumes a sh-load of power, temps, clocks, voltages, etc. are going up as much as MSFS inflight but when I click on the world map, everything goes back to normal. Anyone having this aswell? Main menu, power consumption at 85% TDP, GPU load at 64%, fans at 75%: As soon as I click on the world map, temps get lower and power consumption falls to 35% TDP, GPU load at 26%, fans at 50% (falling): Even inflight the GPU load is lower than in the main menu (around 50% compared to 64% in the menu: So if you've already started MSFS but can't start a flight right away, go to the world map and save some energy 😉
  10. I bet if anyone tells ChatGPT to make a PMDG status update, nobody would notice a difference..
  11. Since I use some airlines for old livery Model Matching (like the Eurowings package had an Air Berlin A320 in it couple years ago), I can't update airlines that I need for extinct airlines. <ModelMatchRule CallsignPrefix="BER" TypeCode="A320" ModelName="AIGAIM_Eurowings Airbus A320-200 - Air Berlin" /> I'm a little scared now that airlines get updated without me not being able to prevent this or to not gettting notified about AIGAIM updating them 👀 @Kaiii3 are there any plans to keep old airlines or outdated liveries available too? 🙂 Air Berlin is still quite common on VATSIM in Germany and Europe 🙂
  12. Everything's fine, just winter textures need some refinement 😉
  13. Greece's seventh busiest airport LGKO Kos doesn't have a decent scenery for MSFS at all. LGTS Thessaloniki, LGRP Rhodos, LGSA Chania, LGSR Santorini and LGZA Zakynthos have got payware sceneries, but at a quality level that isn't close to pyreegue delivers. EHEH Eindhoven, LPMA Madeira and a lot of airports along the coast of Croatia are waiting for a good rendition aswell. A black spot in my airports collection is the South Kaukasus region with Georgia, Azerbaijan and Armenia. But most important thing is, stay safe @pyreegue, you shall live in peace soon!
  14. Looks perfect! I only buy sceneries when they are on sale but for @pyreegue I make an exemption given the fact he's an Ukrainian.
  15. The time investment with the best rate of return I've ever made were the 10 minutes I took to screenshot all MSFS settings. Needed it already a couple times as I have the same issue of lost settings like all the other people in here from time to time. With all settings at hand, it's a 5-minute task to re-set the settings just as they were before instead of taking 3hrs for it. Even better than screenshotting: make a short video using the XBOX Game Bar. Just hit "Windows + G" to open it, then record your settings and in case of a loss of settings, just watch your own video 🙂
  16. I don't know why my MSFS got stuck syncing data at the startup process then the other day. The syncing data page did not went away in my sim (v 1.32.7.0) but I'm glad hughesmeister's fix worked for me too.
  17. Not yet but I'm sure it will be available latest by the end of the decade. *pours oil on the fire* 👀
  18. Impressive! If they ever make 737 hardware in the future, I'm all in!
  19. Hey there, I want to manually install repaints for AI Models in MSFS that are not covered by Alpha India Group's AIGAIM program. For example Nordwind Airlines. AIG doesn't provide a package for this airline, so I wanted to try to install liveries on my own. I just need them for VATSIM model matching, so I don't require any flightplan, just the repaint. UTT has got quite a lot of repaints for nordwind over here: http://unitedtrafficteam.com/index.php/ai-repaints/tag/Nordwind When i click on the A321, there are two files available for download: Can I just get the FSX one and copy the texture folder into the AIGAIM_FAIB_A321-200_IAE folder (+ adding the nordwind fltsim entry in the aircraft.cfg of course)? But what about the "model.ABC-"Airline.." files? The downloaded nordwind repaint just provides a texture folder, but not a "model...." one. I assume it doesn't work then, right? Any help much appreciated on wether or not it's possible to install FSX repaints into the AIG AI installation for MSFS 🙂
  20. I had good FPS but stutters and tearing but finally found a sweet spot with abou 60FPS and no tearing or stutters and I just wanted to share, just in case someone needs ideas. I've got 1 screen for simming (1920x1080, 60Hz), Windows 10, a RTX 3060 Ti (driver 516.94) and a i5-12400F CPU. NVIDIA Control Panel is in German but you get the idea 😅 In the NVIDIA control panel, I've set both VSYNC settings (global and program settings) to "Use setting for 3D Application". Then I set VSYNC ON in the Sim with 100% monitor refresh rate and it works like a charm!
  21. Oh, well, I'm really really picky when it comes to addon airports. I've got a lot of different criteria an addon has to match. Some of those criterias are... 1) ATC coverage on VATSIM: worst is, when an airport gets to see very little coverage like LIBB Brindisi FIR, LFBB Bordeaux FIR or LRBB Bucharest FIR and when there's ATC, it's not scheduled. Most points in that regard get airport what sees ATC scheduling on a reguar basis. Like for example Milano FIR, Austria, Poland, Germany, the Netherlands, Switzerland, UK, Scandinavia and some others are well scheduled on https://statsim.net/atc/?tables=true. This is extremely valueable for me as I like to have ATC whenever it's possible and scheduled online times of ATCs makes planning of routes possible where I get the most ATC. Then there are airports that get to see coverage on a regular basis but are mostly not scheduled like ATC positions in Spain, Greece, France. 2) Runway Textures: I don't buy airports that show repetitive texturing on the RWY (be it the surface itself or just the rubber on the runway). I didn't buy flytampa EKCH because of wrong approach lighting and the rubber marks on the RWY. Once they are not centered to the centerline but rather 20m off to the left along the RWY edge. Can't buy it then cause that's something I'd have to look at every time I land on that RWY. 3) Apron and TWY Textures: again, no repetitive texturing, no default textures. Markings must match the real world layout. 4) Terminals and Buildings: again, strong focus on texturing. 5) Appearance during night times: some airports have really bad night texturing of the terminal. 6) Winter: some airports show minor od major issues since the MSFS snow coverage patch. 7) RWY Slope must match the real world slope gradient and/or RWY profile. When using P3D, I could never imagine how much of a difference a sloped RWY makes! 8. RWY Markings must match the real world (Gaya released quite a few airports in the past where most RWY markings were missing). 9) Static Aircraft: I don't buy airports from developers, who do not add an option to disable static aircraft or at least have a .bgl with "static" in it to easily disable it by renaming it to .bak. 10) Airport surrounding in the sim is o.k (some exotic airports could potentially have bad sat imagery around the field). 11) Correct approach lighting and placement of PAPI lights. 12) Suitable for a short hop within Europe. 13) I do not buy from developers that are likely to pay some sort of tax in Russia (Digital Design, Justsim, BMW). Not many airports match all these criteria but here are the ones that made it into my shopping cart: EBBR + EDDK Jo Erlend Sund LGMK 29Palms, Emmanuel Stefanakis EDDN Captain 7, 29Palms, Limesim. EPKK, EPSY, EPMO, EPRZ, EPZG, EPLB, EPBY, all Drzewiecki LGAV flyTampa EDDW FSDG LOWW Gaya (some minor issues but had to buy it, because of home bias) UKOO, UKLL, UKBB, EGPF, EGPH, EGAA all Pyreegue (snow depiction is wrong but dev is aware of it) LEIB iniScene LFPO, LFBO Jetstream Design (want to get LFRS and LIML too but there's an update in progress I'll wait for) LEZL, EINN MK-Studios EGHI, LEAS, ENML by ORBX LEMH, EDDH Simwings GCXO Wolkenblau. In addition to them, I can really recommend the following free MSFS World Update Airports: EDJA, EDVK, EFVA, EHRD, EKRN, LFMN, LICJ, LIPB, LPFR, LPPI, LSZA, LSZH, LSZR, TNCM. Just give them a try, they are free and quite good imho. I've been watching and reading a lot of videos and reviews of airports that were on my watchlist previously but didn't make it into my shopping cart. Some of them are: Flytampa EKCH (wrong approach lighting and unrealistic tire skid marks on RWY) and LGKR (tire skid marks again). ORBX LIEO; ESGG and LGSK: not removeable static aircraft. ORBX LOWG: 35C Rabbit lights missing, 17C has got full approach lighting in the sim but there's no lighting in reality, Stands 29 and 38 not marked on the ground etc. ORBX ESMS: issues with winter depiction (big green rectangle under the airport surfaces. -> will buy after an update. Gaya LIRQ: very low FPS. Dreamflight LFBZ: Most beautiful scenery ever but static aircraft can't be removed. Many more didn't make it further down the purchasing process. I love to hear that 😄👍👍👍
