  1. ya it doesn't right now, but at least it has taken a step in that direction.. like opening engine doors, fuel and oil caps, showing oil dipstick etc.. best case scenario would be like airfoil labs, where you can check oil level in dipstick, take avgas sample from all tanks and verify, and other FBO, persistence aspects.. current SDK doesn't allow it yet i guess..
  2. This is what I do at cruise with the C414. first of all, my reference is the developers POH snippet because it is specific to RAM IV conversion.. I try to match those cruise specs (although he has given that info only for ISA day).. I cruise at FL200, ~215 KTAS, 2100 RPM, 30 to 32 MP (adjust for headwind), lean the mixture until I get 190 lb/hr (total from both engines).. these are the specs I try to match..the EGT goes up and then comes back down as I keep leaning to get 190 lb/hr.. typical climb fuel flow is ~ 330 lb/hr.
  3. while we're on the subject of surface winds, how many of you use auto-rudder to turn off that nasty veering off the runway after touchdown.. are they trying to simulate weathervaning or something? haven't seen this effect in other sims.. but then again I havent flown too many GA in other sims.. so not a straight forward comparison.. is this effect overdone or is a small GA aircraft really that uncontrollable after touchdown in real life?
  4. The C414 is my personal favorite in MSFS (and I fly the other big brands as well).. MSFS has converted me from hardcore tubeliner guy to hardcore GA guy.. I do love the low and slow of the pipers, but the C414 is in a different class.. its a piston version of a king air with a service ceiling of 30K !! I usually fly at 20K so that I can match the fuel burn numbers with the RAM IV POH given by FSW.. I love the maintenance aspects of it, and it almost approaches A2A/Airfoil labs when it comes to that ownership experience.. beautiful aircraft in real life, beautifully modeled in the sim.. It has the potential to bring in even more FBO/maintenance sort of experience in the future provided MSFS steps up its SDK..
  5. if you're using live weather, you can get wind info from many sources.. inside the sim, click on weather icon, and METAR button.. or you can get it from skyvector, metar-taf.com, aviationweather.gov etc.. I recommend using live weather as far as possible..
  6. ya I understand the OP.. sometimes I want to fly VFR but the ceiling is at 2000' which is MVFR.. I want to preserve that live weather snapshot and just bump up the ceiling to 4000', so that I can complete my flight as VFR.. yesterday I was trying to do CAT1 VFR flight (Pilot Edge training flight) and ran into this problem.. had to manually bump up the ceiling and adjust the winds etc..

US southwest and northwest are among the best and most diverse regions.. they looked great even in XP11 ortho (like salt lake city etc).. love the variation in landclass, elevations, etc.. with MSFS its even better.. approach to KMYF is amazing.. I find the cold countries/northern europe to be boring.. just flat and green.. southern europe comes alive.. like Italy, Malta etc.. only time i enjoy northern europe is winter when the snow effects are amazing.. Swiss maybe good, but needs hi-def mesh.. else its just boring round edged alps that you get in P3D..

I was a hardcore airliner guy for many years.. got into GA and helos with XP11 a bit, but never got into it deep enough.. went back to boring tubeliners.. but in the recent few months, I've become a hardcore GA guy.. I bought the Flysimware C414A .. was looking for something as close to Airfoilabs as possible for a GA.. and this was it.. absolute joy to fly and insane amount of detail.. Not just that, I discovered how challenging GA VFR flying is.. (actually more than tubeliners).. I am now deeply buried into VFR sectionals, cross country flight and fuel planning, also slowly getting into ATC comms etc.. also learning how to land properly.. all this with photogrammetry ON.. so that's a blast as well..nothing like low and slow over southwest US scenery.. my fav approach is KMYF (you can see so much variation in landclass and elevation on final).. basically, i've gone back to basics and discovering the joy of flying all over again..

  13. wouldn't mind paying a small upgrade fee for the other variants too (like a DLC).. they deserve it after all.. top quality devs.. It already looks better modeled than the PMDG.. and on top of that they throw in a cabin, CPDLC, EFB, PAX announcements, weathered cockpit, etc.. sweet.. take notes PMDG..
  14. Any news from iniBuilds on the freighter and other variants ? Would be great to fly this in freighter variant.. that's more believable than the PAX variant in 2022..
  15. FSrealistic v2 is coming out in 3 days btw with even more native SU10 camera effects..
  16. I see some hope for tower and fly-by views now.. with SU10, Asobo has done some work on camera effects and has also given camera sdk to 3rd parties like FSrealistic.. so many plugins will make use of this capability and implement tower view even if Asobo dont do it themselves..
  17. thats the part i didnt understand... should I do this in AAO tool? under what menu? I got the package from Oliver and extracted to webpages folder.. tried to launch localhost, but nothing happens..

  19. i did launch AAO in admin mode.. using v2.30 b10
  20. how do i get this to work.. I activated those 3 lines in 737_OPtions.ini (CDU data broadcast etc), but I'm not able to open CDU page (same pc, not remote pc).. for FBW 320, there used to be some script that you have to launch in admin mode for this work.. am i missing something like that here?
