  1. Can it also be that the weather changed when he got there? He said he had little specks on long range, but when he reduced the range it turned a lot bigger. Maybe it took some time to get there and the precipitation stopped? Just an idea....
  2. Here you go. Just so you know its AIRAC 1408 data. Also, It's based on UA flight plan KEWR-VHHH. Thanks for you reply, the problem I'm having is in mid flight. I wiped out my computer so there were no saved flights at all. If I now load a saved flight, the aircraft goes crazy. I think I need to open a ticket with PMDG.

Hello all, I've been having a problem that started two days ago. I can load a saved flight, but the aircraft isn't loading the FMS plan (dashed blue line) and also not responding. Anyone else is having these issues? I can't use any saved flights anymore.
  5. I'm not sure why they don't have it in ATIS. Even FSX includes those in ATIS.
  6. I like to hand fly it as well, if the auto land doesn't work well either, I would uninstall everything, and then re-install.
  7. Just a really dumb question, what about altimeter settings? Have you tried autoland? Does the same thing happens?
  8. Ok that explains a lot. Thanks for your reply. I really hope they fix it soon, long hauls are not working so well with this.
  9. I have a log also, but I also had an option to send an error log through ASN, I'll be happy to send the log to whomever at HIFI.
  10. The last couple of times, ASN shut down on its own without warning.
  11. Not really. Once you have everything included in the flight plan, it's still the shortest distance between the two points. I have a good friend that worked in network planning, and I will suit with him and discuss this route. Real world or not, I know for a fact that what the airline it's concerned about is flight time and fuel consumption since this is going to reflect on the route profitability overall and flight profitability.
  12. Yes! My wife works for UA, and we checked in the intranet the seating on this one. For UA 117 they use the two class configuration 772 ex-con. However, the three class 772 legacy (United) have more seats.
  13. Interesting, I've never thought about this before. But the fact you are not able to recreate this is puzzling. Either the NTSB is wrong, or part of the simulation in PMDG is wrong. I'm going to try and create this in the weekend, see if I can crash her.
  14. I'm not sure why you would want more light controls. Cabin lighting is controlled by the in-flight cabin crew, not from the flight deck.
  15. Interesting, I've felt that the AT on flare was very slow to react and always kept the aircraft in the air due to ground effect. I found if I retard the levers to idle at 10 ft I get a really nice gentle touch on the runway.
  16. I'm not sure if you're familiar with simbrief or not, but it's highly recommended. I've looked up the route on flightware.com for UAL 117 KEWR-VHHH. I've copied the route from flightware to simbrief and created the flight plan. The amount of fuel required for this flight is 112000 KG to complete the flight with remaining fuel at VHHH 9900 KG. I have AIRAC 1408 and the route from flightware was compatible with AIRAC 1408. Basically it means, the real world matches the sim world, at least as far as I understand it. This is the route that I've pulled from flightware: GREKI JUDDS MARTN KB06E YBC YWK LOPVI GRIBS 6500N 06100W EPMAN 7000N 05400W 7500N 04000W 7900N 02000W 8100N 00000E PIREL R705 DOSON R705 ROKDI R705 BRT G490 SERNA A310 POLHO G218 TMR B458 WXI A461 LIG R473 NNX R473 WYN W18 NLG W23 ZUH R473 SIERA SIERA6D I hope this helps you solve the mystery of how the real world does it. I think you should always look for the shortest way to get from point A to point B, including the least amount of fuel to burn.
  17. I have this issue as well. Either FLCH or V/S climbing or descending, it'll go up and down about 50Ft per minute. The funny thing is, I also have the 744 which doesn't do it at all. After reaching FL100 I can use the V/S for a shallower climb without a problem. I don't understand what went wrong with the T7.
  18. I honestly don't know, this would be something you should ask PMDG, or like Thomas said, it might be FSX bug or limitation. Try what I do and see if it works. You might be experiencing a different problem. Let me know if it works.
  19. It happens to me too. After a couple hours flying, if I switch the view, the cockpit displays all freeze. Right click the mouse and select view cockpit, right click again and select view virtual cockpit. You should have everything working like new. I hope this helps. Yogev Bar Shavit
