  1. I’m buckng the trend here and will say that Orbx scenery looks terrible (nothing to do with the OP’s setup). Overly sharp, and plastic looking. Which FSX and unfortunately P3D photoscenery scenery often looks like. You’d think though LM could improve it. Instead it looks like it’s far worse. Luckily the real word has glare, haze and a blurry distance to add to the ‘realism’ of living in the...well....real world. These sceneries, and the future generation of wanting unrealistic, ultra sharp and ‘autogen to the moon’ visuals is killing the flight simulation experience.
  2. Flight who? They were mildly relevant 10 years ago...
  3. If only the difference for new drivers was the same as your poorly conceived anaolgy, then we would all update, Instead it’s the same as going from a 4 door 6-cylinder Chevy to a 4-door 6-cylinder Ford. Same same but different. But Gates will make you believe it’s a new Ferrari that runs on air and it’s the answer to all your prayers. One of the worlds biggest con men, and no surprise, one of the richest.
  4. And you’re the kinda of person Bill Gates would’ve loved. I’ve got some sand to sell you. Much better then the sand you have already.
  5. I never had the ‘issues’ the OP stated. And what’s wrong with NI? It’s a great program used for so long in the FS world. Doesnt seem much sence to change to something visually not that better.
  6. And likewise from him, and some others in ‘customer service’.
  7. Tear down? Another build when the fans are dirty? Can i have your old hardware? You must be replacing parts every month then. 🙂 Not sure about the tear down part. I just slide the side off and blow it out. I live in a dusty area so I do it every 3 motths. Reverse vac like everyone else.
  8. Snore fest, Kyle. And that’s half your problem, zzzzzzzz.....
  9. Or put it another way, should moderators actually be giving their opinions in threads?
  10. Why? One is the pinnicale of Flight simming. And the other isn’t. Easy to work out which.
  11. If there IS a lot (or any) adverse yaw. Not always a lot in some airplanes. I managed to land it, so that’s the main thing. 🙂
  12. Well, having flown some real aircraft around the skies never using or ‘needing’ rudder, it’s wasn’t necessary. (C152 i recall and a Piper warrior on occasions). Perhaps it wasn’t totally ‘coordinated’ in the turn, but barely (or not) noticeable anyway. I never looked to be honest at the turn and slip indicator. Most light aircraft turns are not that sharp so never really need it. I’m guessing if multiple intructors never taught me to use it wasn’t necessary.
  13. I flew many more flights then an ‘introductory’ flight including solo many times. And using rudder was never really taught as a requirement except landing in a crosswind. As some have mentioned, it’s not really as necessary as many think.
  14. True. I did some learning to fly many years ago. I never used the rudder because I was never told to use them.
  15. That’s exactly what he’s flying. So maybe the auto rudder is on as you say.
  16. Not another boring airplane you don’t fly. I really like the suggestion of the Classic 747’s and the 727. Class, beauty and skills needed to fly them.
  17. I love those. Quite exciting when it happens. Wakes me up from my sleep. 😛
  18. What would your previous sims have run at with that kind of system? It does look good though.
  19. What navigation means do you have? INS? Or just VOR?
  20. No. As this is actually for people who like serious flight sims. 🙂
  21. I guess we just mean we’d prefer the simplier operation of the Boeing doing exactly the same thing as the overly complicated Airbus. And the joy of flying 2-4000 feet higher in cruise in the Boeing due to the Airbus’s seemingly not as good performance. 🙂
  22. Interesting how it’s perfectly acceptable to mention and praise the superior FSL A320 as opposed to the Aerosoft version. But it’s suddenly offensive to do the same ithe certain payware 737 add-ons. Either way it’s always good to have competition.
  23. Scary thought that one manufacturer can make an airplane all can fly. And one manufacturer has made it so difficult then even with training, some still get it wrong. Cue reports on airbus crashes. From what I’ve heard : Boeing pilots who fly Boeing’s prefer Boeing’s. Airbus pilots who fly Airbus prefer Airbus. Boeing pilots who have flown Airbus prefer Boeing. Airbus pilots who have flown Boeing prefer Boeing. They say you can tell the difference between a Boeing and an Airbus. If in a Boeing, look down and behind 2-4000 ft and you’ll see the Airbus. 😄
  24. The have no peer. Or equal. Only a huge chasm to the next level which is horribly poor. PMDG are the only developer producing worthy add-ons. Period.
  25. It’s not hyperbolic nonesence. Its just called the truth. One is a genuinely great and realistic rendition of a 737NG. And one isn’t. Easy to know what both are.
