  1. As that is probably a true statement, but when you buy yours, we too will have a less buggy and more refined program. And we will have paid the same amount as you, and we will have enjoyed the parts that worked well for 16 months. So I am not sure what the benefit of waiting is. As long as buying it now doesn't cause sleeplesss nights and frustrations, which based on some messages, it does for some folks, not sure why one would wait. But I guess there are reasons.
  2. It's actually in this very thread. Page 1, first message. Development Roadmap graphic. October 29th.
  3. And that's the odd part, because I was flying the C172 G1000 after todays patch, and have flown it many times since launch, and the PFD autopilot always works perfectly for me. Now the MFD doesn't work as expected, but for now, most of us know that. Why some folks have problems and some don't certainly is perplexing, making it all that more difficult to resolve.
  4. OK. From Google. Click on F-PLN scroll till you can see the waypoint you want to delete with the up/down arrows. (Up is down for some reason) Press the CLR button till you see CLR in the bottom left. Then press the left button next to the waypoint you want to delete. Waypoint should be deleted. So I tried that on the A32NX and it worked. The last step was to click the TMPY-INSERT button that shows up bottom right of MCDU after you click the waypoint. Hope that's what you were looking for.
  5. The reason nobody is helping you is because you asked way too nicely. I don't use the MCDU so I can't help you, but, if you would have said something like....... "The A32NX MCDU is a piece of junk. It won't even allow you to delete an extra waypoint. What a piece of junk." If you would have worded it that way, several folks here would have responded on how to do it just so they could prove to you that the MCDU is not junk and to tell you that you are the word not allowed one. OK, that was sort of a tongue in cheek response, but it really is surprising that no one is helping you out here. And in reality, those who criticize MSFS get far more attention than someone asking for help.
  6. And your preference would have been to initially charge a smaller amount, and then charge extra for each update. Folks would have loved that business model.
  7. Clearly you are not the only one that feels this way. On the other hand, there are many folks that feel quite the opposite of you as is evidenced by many of the threads on AVSIM. I am in the middle, leaning in your direction. I have XPlane 11 also, and when I do occasionally go back to it, it does seem lacking in the VFR flight department. But if I do get in the mood for an IFR flight, then XPlane is where I find myself. The G1000 works pretty reliably on Xplane so it is pretty easy to actually do a complete IFR flight with "confidence". Every airport doesn't have an ILS, and RNAV approaches are not a strong point of the MSFS G1000. So for now, I find myself in MSFS 90% of the time, and once or twice a week I fly XPlane IFR. I believe Asobo stated we are a few patches away from a fix for the G1000 (December?) so hopefully I'll end up being a single sim user. Not quite there yet.
  8. I'd like someone to check something out please. Start a new flight from the main menu, select flight conditions from the main menu, and select LIVE. Now Fly. When on the runway, select the weather menu from top and note the time. It should be the current time. Now select any other weather preset, and watch the time. Does it change away from LIVE time for you? Mine always changes from the current accurate live time to 9:22PM (UTC). Always. Doesn't matter what airport I start from. Nothing is in my community folder. Would like to know if this is an issue on the release, or perhaps I am missing a setting somewhere or made a change. Thanks!
  9. But just for example on your response, I PERSONALLY can care less about the following..... 1) replay 2) turboprop logic 3) aerodynamic improvements 4) sensitivity I do want to see the Garmin fixed, but again, that is just me. Until it is, I will fly the C152, or go to Xplane for a few G1000 flights. Asobo is going to determine how to go about this process and I am sure they have meetings and folks there who disagree just like us here on the forum are doing now. The honcho in charge will make the decision and the product will develop. For better or worse? We all make that individual decision and then take whatever action we feel is appropriate for us. My action for now is to fly the C152.....everyone elses will vary.
  10. OK then, who gets to decide whether the updates were "SERIOUS" updates? You? Me? Joe? Mary? If they fixed MY issues, is Asobo serious? Or if they fixed YOUR issues? This is going to go on forever, there will NEVER be agreement about anything anyone does. We see this in life everyday and based on the history books, it has occurred since the beginning of time. Having said that, let ME tell you how the world SHOULD be........🙃
  11. Since you asked.....the only name above I ever heard of is Buddy Rich, the others are unknowns to me. My assumption is those are folks you considered to be "real drummers". Good for you!
  12. Thanks for reminding me about Sina. I've watched her from WAY BACK. Love those types of videos. Great songs being covered by kids with talent.
  13. The video can also be used as a TBM 930 flight training video.
  14. Let me tell you my experience with that. Departed an airport that had a 3400 foot BKN ceiling and flew 20 miles to my home airport. Checked the METER for home airport after departure and it stated CLR. Well OK. The first 15 miles of the flight had about 85% puffy cloud coverage with occasional peeks at a blue sky between clouds. As I turned a five mile final, I noticed an odd thing occuring with the clouds. It looked like they were "jumping" about every second. What I mean is that it wasn't the normal smooth movement as one moves in an airplane and sees a cloud get closer, but it was jumping from "here" to "there" in small increments. Also, some of the clouds were vanishing. On about a two mile final, there was about 50% cloud coverage. As I touched down, about 25% cloud coverage. At the end of the roll on the far end of the runway, SKY CLEAR.....not a cloud in sight. Anywhere.
  15. Just a guess, but the problem is not related to any given airport (Gibraltar), but is a general ATC issue and affects all airports equally.
  16. More seriously this time. Isn't Jorg Neuman a Microsoft bigwig and already running the entire show for Microsoft as far as the simulator? He and Seb from Asobo are giving regular live updates and taking questions. So no, they are not giving Asobo a blank check here and they are involved in all the decision making. Is that not correct? Don't you think that they have regular meetings discussing about how to proceed and this is what they came up with? We all know everyone has different priorities to be fixed out here in userland. For now, we just have to be patient.
  17. Dillon, I know these issues are an irritation, but do you have any idea how announcing to the world that YOU ARE GOING TO CORPORATE to resolve these issues actually sounds? And what, you think that the billion dollar company is going to say in the board meeting, "Dillon has a problem with our flight simulator, so we need to change course. Cancel vacations and priorities and get this fixed" Having said that, when you go, can you please tell them that I cut my lawn the other day, but it still looks uncut when I fly over in the simulator. That is unacceptable!
  18. Clearly the original post's author has some serious doubts and insecurities in their own decisions..... Says the online psychiatrist. If one is that confident in their acceptance/unrequited love of a particular sim, then they wouldnt feel the need to post this. He admitted it was a joke post. I can only assume that the intention is to deliberately provoke debate in some hope that it may provide some justification. If you are that happy, just get on and enjoy it and dont waste time posting here. His intention was to make a joke post. Just for the record - i have no preference/view either way on the best sim. Im just happy with my own choices and come here to share tips/discussion when needed/helpful to others. And what tip did you share in this post? Who were you helpful to? These posts are tiring. These threads amuse me. And you are admitting you are tired of being amused. Thanks for the post!
  19. How do you set mixture to auto on a C172?
  20. Did you lean out the mixture? As you climb, lean the mixture a bit around 5000 feet (red pull valve next to the throttle) and try trimming level again. That might be your issue.
  21. My suggestion would be to hold off on the reinstall for now, and instead of spending time time downloading, play around a little with different settings and see what happens. A clue you gave in your write up was the avionics (MFD) went out on final. So you were approaching an airport? Was it a busy one? Did you have AI traffic turned on? How much AI ground traffic? There have been reports that that is the issue for black screen avionics. Yes, I think we all have different settings and fly different planes at different locations. Luckily for me, whatever I do is compatible with the game. It seems your likes rub the game wrong. That is unfortunate and frustrating for you I know. For those that have issues, some sleuthing is necessary. Not quite the same thing, but if you drive to a lake to fish for bluegill, and they aren't biting, you don't drive home and try it again. I mean, well, you can, but if they aren't biting, they aren't biting. Switch locations, change the bait, or try fishing for different fish.
  22. I never had a CTD since day one. For the most part, I just putz around my home area in the midwest. I fly the C172, C152, C208 and TBM on and off. Then, I decided to head out to KLAX and fly to KLAS in the C208 just for the heck of it. I just lifted off the runway after a fairly long taxi and....CTD! First ever. And I have about 200 hours flying total. I remembered reading that ground AI traffic might be causing the avionics issue too. I had recently turned ON airport AI traffic as I usually run off. So after the crash, I turned all AI off. Went back to KLAX this time in the TBM and had an uneventful flight until I overstressed the TBM in descent to KLAS and disintegrated in the air. 🤥 In my case it was a busy airport with lots of AI traffic that "seemed" to possibly be the issue. Might be something to track when getting a CTD.
