Running the TrackIR mouse emulation app works for me every time, even mid flight.

Minimum refresh rate should be listed in the full datasheet/specs for the screen.

Have you tried updating from the Xbox Windows app ? You can also uninstall from that app.

Bought it, never loaded even once, and probably never will. I have the impression a lot of people were like me and bought it as a donation with no intention of ever actually flying it.

Most 144hz monitors have a minimum refresh rate of 45 hz (not 30 hz like a 1080p 60hz one does). If your going to lock the refresh rate find out the minimum for your monitor and set it to that.

No one really cares about MS Flight (generally described as a Flight Simulator "spin off") these days. Which is not surprising as it was released Feb 2012 and development cancelled by July 2012. It lasted less than 6 months and barely made a splash. Seems very few people wanted to fly an Icon A5 around Hawaii even when it was free.

I somehow moved mine to D:\Games\Microsoft\fs2020\localcache\packages\Official\OneStore - but it was ages ago and I cannot recall where I found the details of how to do it.

The Black Square 58p Turbo Baron has replaced my c310 and Twin Navion for most light twin flying these days.

1. Orbx first as they offer easy auto updating without the delays of the marketplace. I never even read the stuff about "orbs" as I regard any "loyalty" system as a marketing con. If a retail store hands me a loyalty card I toss it straight in the rubbish. 2. If not available on Orbx I try the Just Flight Store. 3. If neither of those stores have it I go direct to the developers. This is not my preferred first option as most developers seem to use email to notify of updates and those emails, for me at least, tend to get junked. 4. As a last resort, if an aircraft is only n the Marketplace, I will despite all the issues with MS Marketplace buy it there. 5. Never SimMarket for reasons we do not need to go into here.

If they link in game ATC up to chatGPT you might end up having some interesting conversations.

They seem to focus on stuff that is fun to fly and a bit different. Which I am in favor of, as we need a bit more variety than 4 versions of every possible variant of Airbus and Boeing, which is sort of where the major players seem eventually to be heading.

If it is even remotely the quality of the Wilga, it will be an amazing addon.

They are not realistic anyway, very tame. A true tropical storm would have the wings off a Cessna within minutes. case in point .... Cherokee Six incident in Texas in 2011 ... the aircraft was still at 6800 ft when the wing spar snapped from turbulence and over speed

Iris will get something out eventually. However by all accounts it is a one man operation with a young family and potentially a day job as well, so they do tend to be slow both on release and updates compared to one of the big studios with multiple devs on payroll. The last comment on their facebook concerning the PC24 was around a month or two back and basically said there is nothing to report at the moment progress wise.

8x less is a big difference. Are you sure the second figure is not MB/s ? 8.0 Mb/s = 1.0 MB/s Hence: 100 Mb/s = 12.5 MB/s (also, just to be clear milli-bits per second or "mb/s" is not a thing either, as it would take a fortnight to transfer one bit of information at that speed)

Last night was in the V Tail Bonanza, tomorrow if I get up early enough, will take the Tiger Moth up and join a group flight.

Sadly most of the "careers" tend to "progress" you into airliners. I have known a few real life pilots that had chances to study and progress to airlines but decided the stress, crazy hours and long flight boredom was not worth the end of career extra money and stayed in GA.

If your choice of sim is good enough you are too busy flying to troll forums. If you are bored and have time to troll the forums you need to reassess your choice of sim product.

Pretty common with addon airports. The Asobo windsock still shows in many cases.

With regard to the wipers, it is worth noting that almost no real life GA aircraft have wipers. Things like the Wilga (that does have functional wipers in-game) are the exception.

Wilga has them. They work great to clear ice from the windscreen.

There is no actual water physics to fix at this point.. Water landings are currently just a fudged version of normal hard surface landings.
