I am setting up my Stream Deck buttons for the MS Carenado Beech Model 18 (with the popular Denarq mod) in MSFS 2020. Here are some of the unusual events I have got working. Thanks to this forum and the SDK docs I have been able to create these scripts which toggle the associated controls. Cowl Flaps (L:CARVAR_cowlflap_L, Number) 0 == if{16384 (>K:COWLFLAP1_SET)} els{0 (>K:COWLFLAP1_SET)} (L:CARVAR_cowlflap_R, Number) 0 == if{16384 (>K:COWLFLAP2_SET)} els{0 (>K:COWLFLAP2_SET)} Manifold Heat (A:GENERAL ENG ANTI ICE POSITION:1, percent) 0 == if{16384 (>K:ANTI_ICE_GRADUAL_SET_ENG1)} els{0 (>K:ANTI_ICE_GRADUAL_SET_ENG1)} (A:GENERAL ENG ANTI ICE POSITION:2, percent) 0 == if{16384 (>K:ANTI_ICE_GRADUAL_SET_ENG2)} els{0 (>K:ANTI_ICE_GRADUAL_SET_ENG2)} But I am having no luck with the Oil Shutters. This appears to be the related event. But no event is revealed when I 'Watch Simulator Events' and actuate the levers in the sim. (>L:Denarq_OILSHUTTER_SET_1) (Variable shows up in Behaviors, MouseRect. Does not work in AAO.) I should be able to close the shutter by sending from the Script Editor 0 (>L:Denarq_OILSHUTTER_SET_1) (Sim does not respond.) And this is what some users of FSUIPC have gotten to work. They reported this in the Flight Simulator forum. Flight Simulator Forum L:Denarq_OILSHUTTER_SET_1 (Reported to work in FSUIPC calculator code) So my question is: Can I replicate sending this 'calculator code' in AAO? I am not familiar with FSUIPC. Hi Nico, I have noticed while spotting at EGLL and EGKK that towed aircraft onto stands do not register as live parked, and consequently are removed after a short time. Can this be changed? It would add to the realism if they could be registered as live parked aircraft and remain in place (I mainly use ILO). Peter

I am flying two aircraft that are still a work in progress. In one case the AC (PC-12) on the take off roll starts to skid or slide at speeds above 80 knots. I posted on their discord site, and a person flys that AC in real life and says that is the actual characteristic of the AC?? This AC also has coordinated yoke rudder, turning the yoke engages the rudder. This is a strange design to me. I don’t remember this AC having that characteristic in FSX or XPlane for that matter. My question is do you think FSX in general was dumbed down as far as actual flight characteristics? FSX in easy mode? I have a private pilots license, personally I wouldn’t fly an aircraft that starts to skid at above 80 knots. Even though you could rotate at 80 knots to avoid it. Just an observation…

Hello, Flight Simmers, I recently found an issue with my FENIX A320. I installed the Toolbar Pushback addon and when FenixA320.exe app opened on the loading screen it said: Toolbar Pushback is known for causing issues on approach. I immediately removed it from the Community folder. Now when the fenix.exe launches, it doesn’t say that message but my A320 keeps struggling on approach. Can someone please help? Thanks in advance. Paulius, Lithuania.

Any thoughts on the Carenado PC12? The review rating is 3.5 stars on the Marketplace. Is it possible to read the reviews, when I click on it, it gives me a chart of the ratings, but no way to access the reviews? Thanks!

I flew the MU 2 from Flysimware in FSX The Ini Builds version has a really outdated navigational system. Is there anyway to set the Altitude Hold other than monitoring the altitude in a descent / climb and the hitting the altitude hold button? I wonder if there is a replacement panel? Thanks

yesterday: Since the last MSFS 2020 /Windows 11 updates, I notice the sound dropping out every 10-30 seconds, for just a split second. Kind of like a stutter. I also updated the latest NVIDIA drivers. My FPS is about 50. Any ideas? Thanks!

A long while ago, for nearly 10 years, I used to travel once a year from Columbus (OH) to Washington D.C. / Maryland (a distance of over 400 miles) to visit friends and family, around the Holiday season. So, the route and its landmarks got imprinted in my memory. Basically, I would take I-70 eastward, crossing into Pennsylvania just before Pittsburgh, and then, at New Stanton, I-76 would merge with I-70 to form the PA Turnpike. The Turnpike runs lengthwise across PA, between Pittsburgh and Philadelphia. I would get off the Turnpike at Breezewood, a most curious (and very congested) motorist-service oriented town, marked by a large Rest Area (and Truck Stop). My passenger car would be dwarfed and (unnervingly) surrounded by gigantic 18-Wheelers sauntering around (with likely hungry Truckers on board...🙂...) ...There, at Breezewood, I would part company with I-76 (with a touch of regret...🙂...), and then head southeast on I-70 towards Hagerstown, across the PA/MD states line, to be finally on the homestretch to Washington D.C. Though PA is known for the Allegheny Mountain Range, it is located further east, so what I recall most, from this roadway segment in PA, are the picturesque rolling-hills and meadows (see e.g., shots #6, #7), contributing to a most enjoyable driving experience, especially when the landscape is bristling with the vibrant Fall colors. For my post, here, I have created a FlightPlan from Pittsburgh International (KPITT) to Hagerstown Regional (KHGR), over a distance of ~175 miles, with (enroute) waypoints inserted for (New Stanton, Somerset, and Breezewood). As I've turned south from Pittsburgh, I first overfly the New Stanton Arnold Palmer Regional Airport (shot #4). My next waypoint, the town of Somerset, is of (historical) significance, because of the ill-fated Flight 93, that was forced down into the Pennsylvania meadows ~15 miles northeast of this town. During one of my trips, I recall seeing, for the first time, the new landmark, (a highway-sign) on the Turnpike, pointing to the Flight 93 National Memorial, which I had a chance to visit. Hope you enjoys these (12) pictures, from the sky, symbolically mnemonic of my (bygone) road trips, across (central) Pennsylvania, from Pittsburgh (PA) to Hagerstown (MD). The MSFS (default) scenery indeed does a good job to replicate the general topographic features and the terrain of this region... (though devoid of high mountains...🙂...I've fond memories of travelling on these relatively flat but beautiful lands...) ... Thanks for viewing.

Hi All, Hoping someone can help. I downloaded and installed EU Great Britain North by Orbx and i'm impressed with the coverage and overall quality. However, i've found that some of the 3rd party mod landmarks look better than some of the models used in EU GBN. My question is - Is there any way that you can create exclusions and remove certain landmarks in the Orbx version? I tried to re-order my scenery library with the 3rd party mods above Orbx, but it just results in duplicate buildings - and then re-orders itself despite being saved. Which is frustrating. Appreciate any advice. Cheers, Calum

After working out issues with my CH Products pedals, and getting other things stabilized, I was able to fly an IFR flight from PADQ to PANC. I used the IFR low altitude flight plan. When I got to the approach following ATC, the controller brought me down to 2100 ft. The last instruction was climb and maintain 5300 ft. Nothing afterwards. I did have this occasionally happen in FSX. Back to PILOT2ATC.

I haven't posted screenshots on Avsim for 10+ years but MSFS has pulled me back into the community... It has also made flying over Iran with its mesmerizing mountainous landscapes such a joy that a few of us (who were never scenery developers) have started a project to build out the most detailed sceneries of the airports in the country ever made on any platform! We start with OIIE Tehran IKA which I hope you all enjoy - plan for release this weekend…
