  2. Hi All, Hoping someone can help. I downloaded and installed EU Great Britain North by Orbx and i'm impressed with the coverage and overall quality. However, i've found that some of the 3rd party mod landmarks look better than some of the models used in EU GBN. My question is - Is there any way that you can create exclusions and remove certain landmarks in the Orbx version? I tried to re-order my scenery library with the 3rd party mods above Orbx, but it just results in duplicate buildings - and then re-orders itself despite being saved. Which is frustrating. Appreciate any advice. Cheers, Calum
  3. Hello, I have everywhere such white lines around the trees and around the aircraft aswell. Does anyone have an idea what that could be? https://www.bilder-upload.eu/bild-5c84c9-1609507623.jpg.html Greetings and a Happy New Year. Jannick
  4. It was a beautiful morning for a flight from Camarillo to Tacoma Narrows. The morning began clear, but clouds steadily increased along the route. Route: KCMA DERBB J7 REBRG Q9 SUMMA KTIW Fuel Burned: 536 lbs Time En Route: 3:11 The Camarillo Airport was originally a military base from 1951 until 1969. It reopened as a general aviation airport in 1976. On final RNav Rwy 35 approach The ORBX scenery does a good job evoking a sense of place.
  5. I have tested several different planes to see if I could pinpoint the cause of this issue. My scenario for this test is: Departing Orbx CYBD, heading 051, after about 5 miles away from the airport my sim will freeze. It happens in A2A C172, Default P3D planes and PMDG. So i don't think the issue is related to that. If anyone can do the same test and report back to me if they get the same, I'd like to know. My typical addons are Orbx Global Base, Trees HD, Buildings HD, TerraFlora v2, NA PNW, NA Fjords, Orbx CYBD.
  6. A little flight where I blast out of Mos Eisley (I mean Gillespie, CA), head east over San Diego (first pic), turn north then over Miramar, cross the shoreline near Oceanside, then west for a landing at Catalina Island (KAVX) Torquesim Pocket Rocket XP11.50b10 vulkan - it's an experimental and I HIGHLY recommend it...You can easily do 6 miles a minute at altitude! 7. Hello All, Can you advise what is FSUIPC, i have the flysimware lear 35a as an add on and recently downloaded the immersion package from orbx (//42) however during installation I get a message saying FSUIPC may not be installed properly & I need to install it?. (I don't have this on my system at all) I didn't get this problem when installing the immersion pack for 737 NGXu from PMDG? Do I really need this s/w FSUIPC and worry it may adversely effect my other add ons and or P3DV.5 generally? Any advice much appreciated. My computer spec is:- P3D V4.5 / Intel (R)Core TM i7-8700KCPU @3.70GHz3.70GHZ / Installed RAM 16GB 15.9 USEABLE / Graphics Card Nvidia GeForceGTX 1070Ti0.0 (12 Cores) Win 10 Home / 64 bit Best Regards Charlie McEwan

  11. Hey y'all, I'm having an issue with true earth socal and norcal when terrain is bleeding out into the ocean. I have read some post with issues like mine but they haven't helped. Here's a picture of what it looks like after I have moved the insertion point, have synced the simulator, and verified the files. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! 12. My showcase of the newest product in the ORBX Landmarks package that include a number of iconic locations to explore across what is commonly referred to as “Mother City”. Cape Town, South Africa is known for its urban areas, iconic Table Mountain and stunning views over the Atlantic.
  13. I've got the rather nice freeware Optica, but thought the ORBX one was worth having as well. Doesn't have the dog but nice interior and finish. Took a trip out from Elstree, EGTR, over towards Northolt, turn back east before Heathrow and across town to put down at London City EGLC. Rather like the misty morning setting in SoFly so it's a bit dark and miserable for an early morning flight but it brightens up as the day warms up. ORBX London Landmarks, which look a lot better for the darker atmosphere, I feel, and PG turned off as usual for me. Ultra plus and 4k. Out of Elstree, somewhere just before 07.00 Took off northbound but turn round and head back over the airfield and off to the south west Northolt below us, and Heathrow in the distance in a break in the cloud turning south now and then back east This is how I feel London should be seen! Trendy looking stuff at the old Battersea Power Station. Way different from when I was around Lunnun Tahn, but then that was about 50 years ago now Took a detour to have a close-up look at what will always be the Post Office Tower to me. Liked it so much I'll post a separate bunch of images from that after this set Coming up on Docklands. Again, nothing like this in my day. Even Harold Shand's vision of Docklands is modern compared to mine. Definitely happier around here in greyer skies, this is another one of those sceneries where everything is a bit too sparkly and fake looking in bright sunlight. Enjoy!

  16. My first attempt to fly from EGLC to LOWI yesterday was unfortunately cut shot on final approach by a bug with the MSFS Pause Button aka Game Freeze function, as I pressed that the aircraft literally fell out of the sky, just spiraled to the ground. I've always had an affinity towards the larger business jets, so I decided to give that route another try today with the Cessna Citation Longitude. The aircraft is far from hardcore, some would argue it isn't even up to the very basic "Carenado" standards, yet it is certainly stunning visually both externally and in the VC, plus it is actually quite functional and easy to get "flight ready" from cold & dark. Cold & dark at EGLC, the weather was certainly much better yesterday here in London! Unfortunately again no push-back service, I hope this bug gets fixed. There was really absolutely not enough space to turn, I decided my best option was to use reverse thrust to exit the parking position. As they say in German, Not macht erfinderisch! Imagine someone had shown you this image 30 years ago, when the first flight simulators were available, and told you that sometime in the future we will be able to enjoy such imagery on a PC! A RWY 09 departure today, straight out east over the Thames! The clouds certainly look interesting, the lighting is very impressive. Climbing out towards the UK coast, the flight plan has the route set for FL 410. The weather over the Channel was pretty murky, there was nothing eventful enroute, just a permanent cloud cover below most of the time. Arriving over the Alps, the weather seemed a lot better than yesterday. Heading towards the RTT VOR at FL 130. The very buggy ATC kept asking me to descend to 9500 ft, that would have been guaranteed CFIT. Very close to Innsbruck now, the weather again being grey and murky in patches. There is a lot of room to improve the overall mesh, nevertheless the Alps are certainly stunning! Close to the RTT VOR turning point now. Turning south and then west to intercept the Innsbruck localizer. This is going to be a visual approach, autopilot off, flaps and gear down. The hand flown approach was much smoother than I expected, the aircraft handled very well and was not too twitchy. The wind kept pushing me to the left, trying to correct and stay on the glideslope. Welcome to Innsbruck, touchdown right on the centre line, the reverse thrusters doing their job to slow the Cessna down. The sloped runway is subtle and so much more realistic than the standard fully level runways we've had for so many years in FSX and P3D. Quite mind-blowing that the grass in a flight simulator can look that good!
  17. Well, Orbx is quick off the mark with support for this sim. I'm very pleased to see that they decided to action the crossgrade discount that we requested. I was sad to see that disappear from P3D/X-plane/AeroflyFS2, so it's great to have it back. There are 3 airports, and prices (without discount) vary from $20.99 for London City Airport up to $26.99 for Orbx's rendition of LOWI (All prices in Kiribati dollars, a currency that is pegged to the AUD). There's also a feature pack for London available, which provides a range of objects that are missing from the default scenery. Personally, I'm going to try a couple out once I've flown default MSFS for a while - the price is good, and I like supporting FS devs where possible. So, what do y'all think? Worth it, or do the default airports do the job without the need for Orbx? LOWI is a particularly interesting case, as it covers an airport that is already provided in high detail in MSFS.
  18. In the last few days every time I launch P3Dv5 it requires all my Orbx products to be enabled (a succession of Enable Request Boxes). I am running P3Dv5 HF1 and I have uninstalled and re-installed the Orbx products, but no change. Also, Orbx themselves cannot help! Anyone seeing this? Anyone got any ideas on how to solve this?
  19. An online flight with PilotEdge.net (best service around!) in the A2A Comanche KAVX-KSAN. Addons used (a lot these days lol) Active Sky, ASCA, Envtex/shade, Orbx Socal + KAVX, Latin VFR KSAN. Also navigating with the always incredible Reality XP GNS530W! Routing is another real world TEC route displayed below. 20. I recently purchased the ORBX Landmark Scenery for Cape Town, South Africa https://orbxdirect.com/product/landmarks-capetown-msfs I live and work in Cape Town and thoroughly enjoy the scenery and the details that it adds to the Mother City and how it has enhanced the experience of flying in the area. What I do however find strange is that ORBX have included a yet to be constructed building in the Cape Town CBD. This is the Zero 2 One building on the corner of Strand and Adderley Streets. After completion it will become the highest building in Cape Town but commencement of construction have been delayed a number of times and lately due to the impact of Covid-19. https://landequity.co.za/project/zero-2-one-tower/ https://businesstech.co.za/news/property/362346/heres-how-much-it-will-cost-to-buy-an-apartment-in-cape-towns-new-tallest-building/ This made we wonder if the property developer had any say in the placement of the Zero 2 One building in the ORBX Landmark Scenery? Did they perhaps approach ORBX for it to be included as a marketing ploy? I ask because it is strange that ORBX would include a non-existing building? Would this open the door for similar marketing or even product placement opportunities using MSFS 2020? If so how do us flight simmers feel about such developments? I have done the following video of the ORBX Landmark Cape Town Scenery in which the Zero 2 One building can be clearly seen. I also include a few screenshots below.
  21. Lately I cannot get through Longitude W7* 30.00' As soon as the nose of my plane hits this line my sim (P3D v4.5) freezes and will not restart. Sometime the sounds are still working but that's it. If I click on any of my screens (I am using 3) anything to do with the sim greys out and I have to shut it down . Sometimes it crashes to disk on it's own. As long as I stay away from that longitude all is well. I have tried crossing at different lattitudes, some as far away as 200 miles but I cannot get past it. I even tried setting my location on the map to be L W9* 30' and that doesn't work either. I am flying an A2A Piper Comanche 250 In that region I am using ORBX Global Base, Vector and Open LC Europe. This longitude runs through Portugal. I first noticed this one when I took off from LPCH to the north, after getting airbourne at the end of the runway I turn left to the west and go straight. It is not far to W7* 30.00'. I am curious if anyone else using ORBX is having a problem with crossing any longitudes. If anyone is using the same scenery as me and has some time to do an experiment please try this and let me know if you have any problems. I have also experienced this at other longitudes so maybe you have too. There was one that ran through Iceland, but I don't remember what it was.
