Hi, I have the problem that the LED display of my Saitek Multi Panel is not being updated on PMDG aircraft. I have the following setup: All buttons of my Saitek Multi Panel are controlled by LINDA except the rotary knob. Mapping the functions SAI_MULTI_increase_value and SAI_MULTI_decrease_value in LINDA (on Press) causes the rotary knob to be jumpy and with a lot of latency. Instead, I am using SPAD and FSUIPC which gives a much better behavior of the rotary knob. The Multi Panel display is updated and consistent with FSX on my default aircraft. However, on my PMDG aircraft the altitude, heading, etc is correct in FSX in the Virtual Cockpit, but the display of my Saitek Multi Panel is never updated. The altitude stays at 10000, the IAS and HDG at 000. I have set EnableDataBroadcast=1 in [SDK] section of my PMDG ini files, but that didn't help. The default and PMDG aircraft are handled differently by SPAD and FSUIPC in my setup: Default aircraft: SPAD : Multi Panel 1 - Setup - Rotary Knob - FSUIPC Offset Change (for ALT,VS,IA,HDG and CRS) PMDG aircraft: SPAD: Multi Panel 1 - Setup - Rotary Knob - FSUIPC Virtual Button , Virtual Joystick 64 , Virtual Button 0-9 (ALT-CRS) FSUIPC : Buttons & Switches , Profile specific, Joy# 64, Btn# 0-9 , Select for key press , keys to be sent when button pressed FSX : PMDG Aircraft - CDU/FMC - PMDG Setup - Options _ Key commands - Autoflight - keys for rotary knob functions So, on PMDG aircraft, when I turn the rotary knob, SPAD sends a virtual joystick+button command to FSUIPC, FSUIPC translates this into a key press command and sends this to FSX, and in FSX this key press is equivalent to an rotating knob function in my PMDG aircraft. It works perfectly in FSX, except that the Saitek Multi Panel display is not updated. I then decided to replace the FSUIPC key press by a LUA script because that can handle multiple commands. The initial key press in the lua script works perfectly with the ipc.keypress command. CtrlShift6.lua: ipc.keypress(54,11) -- send CTRL+SHIFT+6 --.... some function to update Multi Panel display .... CtrlShift7.lua: ipc.keypress(55,11) -- send CTRL+SHIFT+7 --.... some function to update Multi Panel display .... I have seen the function RefreshSMP() in common.lua, but that is not a global function that I can call from another lua script. Is it possible to put a command(s) in the lua script to get my Multi Panel display updated? Or is there another easy solution? CBird

Hi I'm new on this forum. I have : -- P3D v3.4. -- LINDA 2.8.8. -- saitek radio panel -- saitek multi panel 1. I have a message error in P3d when I "reload LUA engine" --> "Saitek Multi panel is DETECTED but couldn't be opended. I don't know how to resolve this error. 2. When LINDA is open, the radio panel always show the "COM1" frenquency and erase information on the multi panel. Thanks for your help. Noel

Hello all. I have been eyeing the Saitek Multi Panel recently to help finish up my sim pit. I have advanced aircraft such as A2A 172, Aerosoft Twin Otter, Flight1 King Air, RealAir Duke V2, Majestic Dash 8 and will get some PMDG products in the future. My question is, how well does the autopilot features of this panel work with these type of aircraft? I realize PMDG and other larger aircraft will have differences seeing as how the panel autopilot is designed around a very simple general aviation aircraft. If I were to be flying the King Air or Dash could I set an altitude, vertical speed and heading and it would all work correctly? Is this just a waste of money if flying these type of aircraft? I feel that it would work just fine with the A2A 172, but I'm not positive. I read somewhere that someone had to use LINDA to get it to work with more complex aircraft and I think that is beyond my comfort zone with FSX. Any help or hearing of any experiences would be a huge help. Thank you.

First, my system: i7 3770K @ 3.50Ghz (stock) 16GB RAM 256 SSD Corsair 1TB Seagate 7200 EVGA 670 FTW 2GB (All 4 monitors connected to it) Monitors: 3 x Acer G235H (23.5") 1 x Acer X162W (16") Equipment: Saitek Everything (Yoke, Pedals, TPM, Radios, Panel, Throttle, Switches, BIP) using SPAD Add-Ons: REX 4 Issue: I recently switched from FSX to P3D. So far I love it. Graphics are way better, better optimization of resources in new systems, my FPS don't drop from 30-35 and compared to FSX it shows how well optimized the game is in comparisson and I know they will introduce to even more optimizations (better SLI, Xfire, multi-cores, etc) Now, I've been struggling with my multi-monitor configuration. I used to run Surround for the three large screens (5760x1080) and then extend the little screen and FSX would allow me to create a new view and drag it to the small screen. In that way, I would use the three screens for scenery only and the little screen for instruments. It worked beautifully. Now with Prepa3d I can't get it to work that way. P3D won't let me drag a new window to the smaller screen in either full screen mode nor windowed. I tried with and without surround also. I'm building a Panel for a C172 and I really want to use my 4th 16" screen instead of the saitek gages or an iPad tablet to display gages as I already have the perfect small screen to be in the panel. Anyone knows what's the best way to do this 3 + 1 setup? I wouldn't mind buying a second 670 if I need to but I need/want to make this work. Right now all my screen are happily connected to my 670 and I have no problems running it that way. The card seems to support the monitors quite well The 670 runs pretty much flawlessly with P3D

I just recently purchased a GTX 770 which has 3 Samsung B2330 monitors connected to it. When I enable surround (with or with out bezel correction) I lose some real estate on screen 1. With 3 1920x1080 monitors I would have expected something close to 5760x1080, what I am getting is 5040x1050. Also when I exit surround mode, the resolution on monitor 1 comes back at 1680x1050. Any ideas on how to correct? Monitor 1 & 2 are DVI monitor 3 is HDMI. Thanks Kevin

G'day, Hello! I'm embarking on a fun little adventure with a simulator for a local aero club. I need a little help, advice, admonishing for my goal of running the P3D terrain view across 5 large Plasma displays. I need to be able to do it with one mean mother of a PC and 2 graphics cards (preferably nVidia). The stick paty here is that it needs to be 5 REAL, and separate views that combined will give me 220° FOV forwards and to the sides. I need to know that it can be done, and maybe a nudge in the right direction to get me started. Cheers and thanks for the help! :) Dave
