Jan-Paul,It's referred to in my notes but I have to say I've not encountered any windshear. I'll add that scenario to my 'try list' for my next flight, which is looking like Sunday now. (g/f's birthday = doing other things that aren't beta testing)

@ Marc, thanks for answer. Simply set up some strong changing winds and gusts via the weather menu. Make sure that wind smoothing from Active Sky or FSUIPC is disabled. I have tested the WAGS yesterday with the Maddog 2006 from Leonardo (www.flythemaddog.com) It works very well here. The 747 and the 737 don't have the windshear callout, but you can add it with a gauge. Jan-Paul

Mark,Thanks a lot for the detailed response.Dmitriy

>You know what, You got a point there yeah I should have put>Milan, Italy.>Dont know where I got the Munich from.>>Thank You>>Capt. Eric Wade Jones>>www.usairwaysva.org>>http://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/1900driver.jpgThanks for clarifying. I agree. Milan is great to fly into, either Linate or Malpensa - especially with those great freeware airports from ISD

Over 10 years here and AVSIM is still my favourite FS site :-)

>Can you clarify how the handle is moved beyond the>dial-a-flap detent? Is it lifted up and moved or moved left>and down or in some other way?Dinshaw,It is lifted up and moved to the next detent.Hope this feeds your curiousity,Regards,Harry

I knew it, someone would actually ask about the oxygen panel. Even though it's completely nonfunctional in a virtual environment except for the test switch, someone will want it! And they laughed at me at the AVSIM conference presentation when I said that! Amazing.:-rollBill

See I was curious about the oxygen system and cabin pressure being on the MD-11. I still have curious things in regards to it, however I know better then to think those are modeled so I don't plan o ever inquire about them. till after I get MD-11 on my sim.Thank YouCapt. Amazing.:-roll>>BillMaybe we need chemical toilets when we sit at our computer, so we don't have to go to the bathroom when nature calls, but simply go to the virtual toilet in the plane, push the button "flush" and have - how shall I put this - the real life sensation!!!! But seriously, looking at the realism in this product and the 744, I had to think back to the eighties, when I had an atari-ST 1040.The FS back then had a Cessna and a Learjet, the Learjet had the same cockpit as the Cessna including carburator heat?? but it had jet-engine sounds and a speed-indicator up to 400 KTS.A revolution in those days!! A lot has changed since then!!Good luck ewith the upcoming release,Wijnand (EHBK)

Ok, here goes my laundry list:Will we have Roll CWS?Can PROF be armed on the ground? Will we have the VOR approach and LOC approach options? Will cruise and descent wind forecasts be enabled? If so, will we be able to uplink the data from activesky (simulating ACARS) or will wind entries have to be made manually? What FMS will we have? I've seen where there are actually several types (908,911-913,920,921)

Hi guys,I have two, completely unrelated questions about the MD11:1. The md-11 has apparently the ability to land with the center gear retracted. What is the reason for doing so, apart from technical problems?2. The KLM has the tape-style engine indicators, Martinair uses the (I believe more common) dial style. The classic 747 and dc10 also had this option. Why would you choose the one or the other, is there a good reason or is it just a matter of taste? Thanks in advance,Wijnand (EHBK)

hi,question about the AIRAC. Will the newest one (i guess 0810) be included (with procedures?) in the upcoming release or do we have to buy it separately from navigraph?thanks, chrjs(christopher volle)

Hey guys, Got a question for you. Does the MD-11 have a load manager and if so I sure it will, is it anyway close to the other PMDG products that have one. How much more improved if it will be improved, then previous versions.Thank YouCapt. Eric Wade Joneswww.usairwaysva.orghttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/1900driver.jpg
