November 23, 200520 yr John,Turbo props are sometimes called jet props. Essentially they are jet engines with the props on the outside instead of the inside. :-) Jeff D. November 23, 200520 yr Bravo to the makers of this fine machine! I'll be flying this puppy for sure into some of the DAD fields!
November 23, 200520 yr Commercial Member Are you sure this has weather capabilities? I didn't see that. And couldn't we install the new Flight Line T gauges by RealityXP into this lovely plane? That would solve the backlit gauge issues :)Tim Tim FuchsManaging PartnerREX SIMULATIONS website: www.rexsimulations.comsupport: www.rexaxis.com
November 23, 200520 yr I have just had a look at this bird ..and I must say she will be a keeper ...very nice! :9A couple of things I noticed ...and adjusted. :)I have attached some pics to show my adjustments if you like them here is my panel cfg changes:(Views)VIEW_FORWARD_DIR=16.0, 0.0, 0.0VIEW_FORWARD_ZOOM=0.8(Default View)X=0Y=0SIZE_X=8192SIZE_Y=1600I would like to make a request to the modellers of the VC to make a version with the knobs around the radio area/weather radar/trimble removed/flattened as I am sure there are many simmers like myself who would love to add the full gamut of Reality-XP gauges ( I want to add two GNS500's, weather radar...and prolly a whole lot more! ;) )edit* Just wanted to add the panel views can be reduced to 8bit (or IMHO should be ) :) http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/133864.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/133863.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/133862.jpgregardsEdhttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/132837.gifAMD Athlon 64 3500+, 1024Mb PC3200 DDR, 300Gb HD 128Mb DDR Nvidia 6600GT PCI Express, Audigy 2 ZSCH Products Yoke, Pedals and Throttle Quadrant My FS Videos
November 23, 200520 yr Hello EdI too would like to see the 3D knobs removed as this aircraft is perfect for a full RXP setup.
November 23, 200520 yr Hello EdHow would i go about toning down the prop textures in the VCThe animation is making me dizzy on long flights :-)
November 23, 200520 yr >Hello Ed>How would i go about toning down the prop textures in the VC>The animation is making me dizzy on long flights :-)Hi Maddog, good point. If you reduce the contrast considerably in the alpha for the moving prop texture you will get a far nicer/more subtle prop animation. If you are not sure what I mean pm me your email addy and I will send you an example. :) http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/133905.jpgregardsEdhttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/132837.gifAMD Athlon 64 3500+, 1024Mb PC3200 DDR, 300Gb HD 128Mb DDR Nvidia 6600GT PCI Express, Audigy 2 ZSCH Products Yoke, Pedals and Throttle Quadrant My FS Videos

For VC gauge backlighting, the model must have a special texture filename assigned to the Self-Illuminaiton slot in the Material Editor. Absent that _L.bmp filename assignment, backlighting is impossible. Fr. Bill AOPA Member: 07141481 AARP Member: 3209010556 Avsim Board of Directors | Avsim Forums Moderator
November 24, 200520 yr Hi.If you want you can try another prop file, like the Mooney, and just rename the "helice.bmp" in both textures in the 700 to something like "helice.ori" and copy the prop from the Mooney and name it "helice.bmp" This may not be the best under all conditions, test and evaluate, if you like it keep it, if not just go back to your "helice.ori" files. November 24, 200520 yr Yes I agree, A wonderful gift from them. I often wonder if a price tag was attached to this, what would it be. Shines like a factory fresh plane.I like it. "Quoi Bec!" what a beak! VIN
November 24, 200520 yr Can any one tell me if there is a english check list for this aircraft. I the manual is in enlish, but the check list is not. It sure is a great looking plane, I just really like to fly with a check list from prestart to shut down. Thanks for any help. ray
November 24, 200520 yr In the aircraft folder there is a subfolder called:Check_EnCopy the contents of that folder into the main TMB700 (yes, they did get it wrong!) and overwrite - now its in English!Does anyone know if they plan a fix for the non-appearing GS indicator in the VC? Other than that, this is just huge fun and almost perfect freeware!Allcott
November 24, 200520 yr I keep thinking how great this gift is.My NON-COMPLAINING 2 problems are:1: I can't see th ALT light is on when I press the ALT button in the AP command panel ( althought the ALT is visible (just :-)) in the : AP mode selection repeater.2:I can't change the altitude levels in the Altitude / vertical speed preselection indicatorCould be my installation?

The click spot is above and below the numbers themselves, with left and right mouse click doing smaller and bigger numbers.Hope this helps Allcott
