December 18, 200817 yr Boy, this is almost as bad as PMDG MD 11 release date! But PMDG told us what was coming, posted screenshots, and kept in touch with the community. Jeremy "rightseater" Fletcher

December 18, 200817 yr April fools! :( Oh, it isn't April yet, but maybe they can keep this thread going until then. Art
December 19, 200817 yr Here's something to think about while we await the big announcement.Assume the following:1. The product is from Megascenery (a number of posters in this thread have provided links pointing to megascenery)2. It is a tileproxy like server providing streamed Photoreal scenery (again there were some convincing posts in another thread about this topic)Would it then be in the interests of Megascenery to announce what the product is? Announcing such a product would see sales of their existing Photoreal scenery come to a grinding halt as many people would hold off purchasing such products if a photoreal server became available. This would certainly be a revolutionary product particularly if the had night lighting, autogen and seasons.A photoreal server would also involve setting up hardware as well as software which doubles the possible causes of delay.

I myself am hoping for such and would consider it revolutionary-even if a week late. Geofa WANTED DEAD OR ALIVE-the best Flight Sim!

Even if this upcoming product is something that would end the sales of current Megascenery products, I still think PCA should at least give us some kind of an update. What you have been saying throughout this thread all makes sense, and PCA certainly does not owe me anything, but perhaps we can all agree that it is probably not a good idea to announce release dates unless you are beyond 100% certain that you can stick to it. I don't believe in the old adage that any publicity is good publicity. I think that this could damage PCA if the product does not meet the growing expectations of simmers. Certainly not arguing with you, but I think my point of view is fair. Jeremy "rightseater" Fletcher

At least we have choice-it didn't used to be that way. Geofa WANTED DEAD OR ALIVE-the best Flight Sim!

December 19, 200817 yr Actually I think we'd all just like to hear what it is they are hinting at. Never the less, there's more to life but Im excited to see what they have in mind here! Never the less, there's more to life but Im excited to see what they have in mind here! The only 3 things for sure you should be excited about are the upcoming ASA, the MD11 update for FSX (along with the FS9 release) and xmas day!I'm past caring about PCA now and it would have to be something unbelievebly amazing for me to look at their website again.Graham
December 19, 200817 yr I refer to the big boy's world as opposed to the little boy's world - it's nothing to do with company size. The big boy's world is one where childish excuses like "the dog ate my homework" and " a big boy did it and ran away" are no longer acceptable and big boys take responsibility for their behaviour and statements. December 19, 200817 yr But your comment was about "promises" and "lying". "Big Boys" make promises all the time, and don't keep them. I can't think of anything business-wise "bigger" than an airline. They "promise" flights will leave and arrive every day at certain times, and a certain percentage of those "promises" are never kept. So they must be "lying" to us every day.Maybe we should make them all go stand in the corner and do "time outs", ya think? That'll teach 'em! Rick Ryan
