April 20, 200917 yr Commercial Member Has anyone using this noticed and strange graphic anomolies in the plane models from time to time? Since I installed, I have found wierd blocky textures appear sometimes on the plane models, also, if you try and change airports or plane location ( I was using FSDiscover to do this), I got strange problems, like the views cycling randomly, slowdowns, and the above model anomolies. This was resolved by starting FSX again and does not happen all the time. Is there anything in the dll or ini file that could cause this, or do you think I need to look elsewher?I have to say, that when working the effect is excellent, Thx, Mark
April 20, 200917 yr Randall's are worth a try... more subtle, but still adding a nice effect...Yes, yesterday I also went from DarkeningAmountDay=30 to 20 (default is 40). This effect is very nice at first but become a bit tiresome after a while.I think for most users the three most important entries to check and test are:BloomPowerDay= This adds a constant bloom to everything. Default is 0 but something like 5 just gives everything a bit more shiny look. (I've got it set at 5).BloomMaxLimit=This regulates the amount of oversaturation (providing BloomAllowOversaturation=1 (on) and not 0 (off)) which gives that great 'light in the sky'. Default is 100: setting this lower makes the effect more subtle. (I like it at 100 but I can imagine some people might find lower settings (like 75 or 50) more subtle and natural.)DarkeningAmountDay=This (sort of) regulates how dark things become when you are looking into the light. Default is 40. When set at 0 nothing gets darker. (I use 20, which gives everything a bit more contrast and makes the colors more natural without overdoing it. The effect you get with 40 is nice at first (you really see a difference when looking around) but it just gets too dark all over imho.)I usually only fly during daytime, so I haven't really checked out the night settings. One setting to look for as fas as the night is concerned, is DarkeningAmountNight= The default is -30 (note the minus sign!), which makes everything way too light imho. I have it at 0 but still it's a bit too light. Setting it to a positive number might work even better.
April 20, 200917 yr Does anybody know how to darken the night skys without darkening all the city lights and instrument lights?-jk

I haven't noticed anything yet on my system other than a brief blockiness to what I think was landing lights when I was landing--went away quickly and have not seen it again.
April 20, 200917 yr Pity so many people seem to have problems with it... :( It really changed FSX for me. I have to say that I hardly dare to change anything to my current working setup... Imagine some driver spoiling it all... I mean, look at this picture (click for full screen): I think it looks almost real! The colors, the lighting, it's awesome! It's even better when you see it moving or course... A week ago I would have had to edit it all in Photoshop to get it looking like this.
April 20, 200917 yr Commercial Member Well just got in today and tried again, I had bizarre snowstorm of coloured speckles on the screen, and a frame rate of .5 per second. The .dll seemed to somehow corrupted my display driver, as the bizarre effect happened in Black shark also. So I removed it, rebooted and all was well again. Its pretty strange, as just before, I had been using the app with no problems on 3 or 4 different flights. I am dissapointed, as it looked as though it had great promise, I loved the effects. I am using 182.08 forceware, on vista 64 with a gtx280. thx, Mark

I haven't noticed anything yet on my system other than a brief blockiness to what I think was landing lights when I was landing--went away quickly and have not seen it again. If I rapidly switch views, I can suddenly lose my detail textures. I've now discovered that they come backif I hit my scenery re-load key, so I'm back trying this some more. It does add some really nice visuals!Favorite settings (thus far):[bLOOM]BloomPowerDay=5BloomFadeTime=400BloomConstantDay=1BloomQuality=0BloomScreenLevelDay=95BloomCurveDay=0BloomPowerNight=18BloomConstantNight=0BloomCurveNight=0BloomScreenLevelNight=20BloomAdaptationScreenLevel=24BloomAdaptationMultiplier=100BloomAllowOversaturation=1BloomMaxLimit=75...[colorCORRECTION]DarkeningAmountDay=20ScreenLevelDay=70ScreenLevelNight=1DarkeningAmountNight=0GammaCurveDay=0GammaCurveNight=-2ColorSaturationDay=0ColorSaturationNight=0UsePaletteTexture=0 Bert
