May 27, 200917 yr Commercial Member Captains-We hope everyone enjoyed a few weeks of time to reflect upon why these AVSim forums are such a great benefit to our community!I also want to thank all of you for your patience as we waited for things to work themselves out here on AVSim's servers. It has been an unusual, and at times frustrating experience to be without our primary method of interacting with all of you- and I never thought I'd admit this but: We missed you. :-)We've gotten some email during the past two weeks from folks wondering why we don't just open a forum on one of our own server. I thought I should address that question publicly, since it obviously affects all of us together: PMDG has a long standing and important history with AVSim. Our forum traffic here is substantial, in no small part to the community that the AVSim team has built around their news, reviews, file hosting and forum system. While we lack some of the "control directives" that hosting our own forum would provide, (the ability to send 10,000 Joules of energy through the keyboard of anyone caugh acting dumb in public, for example... :( ) we feel that the AVSim forum area has a good balance of users, lurkers, experts and newbies that it is unlikely a stand-alone forum would attract.Having PMDG here on AVSim is a stategic decision for PMDG, and one that we have stood by for a decade now.AVSim is a great home, and we're glad to see that Tom and Crew were able to get the forum system back online with (it appears) minimal data loss. (Bravo Zulu!)We have some posts coming to bring you up to speed on the J41 and the NG2.0 development cycles, along with some other goodies and announcements. May 27, 200917 yr Nice to be back. And you know what? Both my PMDG products worked faultlessly while you were away!!!!! Perhaps, just perhaps you should take the forums off-line for two weeks each month? :( Gavin Barbara Over 10 years here and AVSIM is still my favourite FS site :-)

May 27, 200917 yr Wow I am definitely happy this is back. Avsim is probably the best gateway for all aviation enthusiasts. I am also happy that pmdg and all the sites have been able to stop the attacks and maintain everything during this time. Good job to the aviation enthusiast community. Steven Penninck
