September 13, 200916 yr Great addon guys, but a couple requests please. As Ingo mentioned in this thread, there's something off about the sound package. It's good, but inconsistent. The sound in the VC at cruise is fine at times, but when you cycle through other views including external, everything gets out of whack when you're back behind the vc yoke. Also, setting the speed bugs is a very laborious and time consuming task. When you right click the IAS selector, they increase in 10 knot increments. This would be improved if they were in 30 knot increments, with mouse wheel rolling handling the smaller increments. Thanks for listening, and hope you'll consider these requests. Curt Curt Branch
September 13, 200916 yr Hi guys,if time allows, could you check if the loadsheet isnt confusing the "pod cargo" with the "rear cargo" area ?see also -> my postingBest regardsJ
September 13, 200916 yr We recommend setting FSX volumes sliders to 50, except ATC where you can decide.Curt - what you describe is an issue with the FSX sound system when changing views - when it happens to you just press the "Q" key twice to quickly reset all sounds. September 13, 200916 yr Hello Armen, thanks for your reply. Pressing Q once turns off the sound completely. Pressing it again doesn
September 13, 200916 yr >Soundproblem of Volume<I took a look, and i dont have any PMDG Menu Entry in my FSX.is that correct? or should there be an Entry??Tristan
September 13, 200916 yr When flying the J41 there is a PMDG sound setting menu with the one turnable knob I described a few posts earlier.Ingo
September 13, 200916 yr Hi Tristan, when I open the add-ons menu in fsx there is a "PMDG sounds" option after loading the J41. Klicking that option opens a little window with a volume knob. That
September 13, 200916 yr Hi Vin, thanks for the reply. I do not have FSX set for DX10 Preview and regarding .net, is it safe to uninstall the .net's that are on the computer and then install the .net 3.5 SP1?ThanksYou do not want to uninstall the v1.x and v2.x versions of .net, as the major versions coexist with each other, and other software that requires the other versions will not likely work with only v3.5 installed.RegardsBob ScottColonel, USAF (ret)ATP IMEL Gulfstream II-III-IV-VColorado Springs, CO Bob Scott | President and CEO, AVSIM Inc ATP Gulfstream II-III-IV-V Sys1 (MSFS20+24/XPlane12+11): AMD 9800X3D, water 2x240mm, MSI MPG X670E Carbon, 64GB GSkill 6000/30, nVidia RTX4090FE Alienware AW3821DW 38" 21:9 GSync, 2x4TB Crucial T705 PCIe5 + 2x2TB Samsung 990 SSD, EVGA 1000P2 PSU, 12.9" iPad Pro Thrustmaster TCA Boeing Yoke, TCA Airbus Sidestick, Twin TCA Airbus Throttle quads, PFC Cirrus Pedals, Coolermaster HAF932 case Sys2 (P3Dv5/v4): i9-13900KS, water 2x360mm, ASUS Z790 Hero, 32GB GSkill 7800MHz CAS36, ASUS RTX4090 Samsung 55" JS8500 4K TV@60Hz, 3x 2TB WD SN850X 1x 4TB Crucial P3 M.2 NVME SSD, EVGA 1600T2 PSU Fiber link to Yamaha RX-V467 Home Theater Receiver, Polk/Klipsch 6" bookshelf speakers, Polk 12" subwoofer, 12.9" iPad Pro PFC yoke/throttle quad/pedals with custom Hall sensor retrofit, Thermaltake View 71 case, Stream Deck XL button box Sys3 (DCS/P3Dv4/ATS/ETS): AMD 7800X3D, MSI MPG X870E Carbon, Noctua NH-D15S, 64GB GSkill 6000/30, EVGA RTX3090 Alienware AW3420DW 34" 21:9 GSync, Corsair HX1000i PSU, 4TB Crucial T705 PCIe5 + 2TB Samsung 970Evo Plus, TM TCA Officer Pack, Saitek combat pedals, TM Warthog, TM RS300 FF wheel/pedals, Coolermaster HAF XB case
September 14, 200916 yr I've found a very little glitch: when you pop up the fms while the flood lights are on, the fms still shows the dark texture instead of the light one. In the screenshot notice the difference in color between the pop up and the VC.
September 14, 200916 yr CTDs:b. Happening during flight or as the sim exits - we're still trying to find the source of these, it's very hard to track stuff like this down when just a handful of users are seeing it. I've personally done 10+ flights in the last few days trying to reproduce them and I haven't seen it once. We'll keep trying until we find it though.Hi Ryan,I am one of the few seeing CTD after ending my flight and trying to shutdown FSX. It may or may not help in your searching to know I also get an engine spooling down sound on escaping my flight. Maybe/maybe not related? At least I get to enjoy my flight first! Adding my thanks for a great plane. As others have said the J41 is another step closer to the "feel" of my real world experience (although in real life I have only flown C172 & C150s).Regards,Richard Shumack
September 14, 200916 yr The FSX soundsliders are not effecting the sound of the JS41 and when i amreducing the main volume, i cant understand the other Pilots anymore.I am able to control the engine sound levels using FSX sound controls.
