September 10, 200916 yr I also wanted to extend my gratitude and congratulations to the PMDG team. This aircraft is my favourite commercial aircraft in my hangar right now. Imagining the Dash 8 built with the same quality is exciting!
September 10, 200916 yr Hi, Ryan Captains,Hope you're all enjoying the new aircraft!First of all, congratulations for this another fantastic aircraft. You really are the best!I have burned about a dozen engines so I decided to fix a post-it on my monitor: Do not forget to unfeather.... :( Besides this it is a pleasure to fly with this jewel. If you don't mind I'd like to report a behaviour on FMC pre-saved routes so you may check it and maybe include on the FMC improvements.I have 430+ routes saved on C:\...\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\PMDG and I think there is a limitation on FMC capabilities on retreiving so many files, although it does a selection from the routes beginning at departure airport. With this number of routes, FMC does not show all alternatives from a specific departure airport.I have removed most routes and remained with about 50. With this number of files, FMC works perfectly, displaying all routes from the dep airport.Best regardsSchmid Flavio Schmid Win 7 Pro 64 MoBo Intel DP35DP CPU Intel Quad Core Q9550 RAM 8GB Kingston KVR800D2 GPU NVidia GTX275 - 968MB
September 10, 200916 yr Gotta love how fast they get busy tracking the issues down and fixing them...You guys ROCK! :( :( :( Yesterday I just did my first complete flight with this bird and I gotta say it again that you guys did an excellent job on this beauty. It's gonna take me a while to "get over it"!! Best Regards,
September 10, 200916 yr I almost don't want a cold and dark switch, it's fun having to remember to engage the start locks.Tim Dobrowolsky
September 10, 200916 yr Once again PMDG, you guys are great! you have confirmed there are problems, and are quickly working on them to resolve the issues!! A BIG THANKYOU! there are some companies out there (i wont name one but im sure you know who they are) that seems to think that it is the users fault and not their aircraft and take forever to get a new release (which in the end may fix one problem but will make more!). I understand that its hard to fix these things just overnight and with one bit of code, but THANK YOU!Also if i may just make one suggestion,I love the JS41, all the sounds it makes are just fantastic........ However..... the engines.... after 15 mins or so, they get to be a drone on the ears, but as like them! Instead of having to turn all the sound off, is there anyway of maybe having a volume adjuster for the engines???If there already is, then sorry can you please shoot me and point me in the right direction??? :( Alastair Bird "Alpha Bravo"
September 10, 200916 yr 110% satisfied! I have no issues other than the ADF no tuning and the altimeter oh and the spoilers! Thanks for another jem of a plane guys. September 10, 200916 yr Author Commercial Member I almost don't want a cold and dark switch, it's fun having to remember to engage the start locks.Tim DobrowolskyIt's really more so you can quickly get the aircraft where you want it without first having to load a cold and dark flight, then reposition etc... September 10, 200916 yr thanks for the SP1 information, Such a great product!!!! PMDG quality!:))Maybe a printer friendly booklet AOM manual? :)Zoltan
September 10, 200916 yr Nitpick typo in the AOM page 59CAUTION:On the ground, the ENGINE/ELEVATOR anti-ice system test is limited to 10 seconds when the OAT is greater than 100 C.100 C ? now thats what I call a hot day :( John Ellison
September 10, 200916 yr You can adjust the engine sound level in the FSX sound menu! engines, voice, environment and cockpitThanks for pointing that out. I need it at its current level to hear the sound of my Beechcraft Baron engines, but reducing the volume on my speakers when using the J41 makes the ATC chatter impossible to hear! I will just have to swap back and forth when I switch between planes. September 10, 200916 yr Any possibility of getting the BETA / Reverse range adjusted for those of us with throttle quadrants so we can get to max reverse on the levers? Thanks :)
