J41 SP1 STATUS UPDATE AND ISSUE TRACKING

Hi guys, The only way I found to crash the FMS is when setting up the Vnav data. I click on data then enter. I put in my cruising altitude, then the Transition altitude. If by accident I inputed the wrong cruise altitude, I click on data again hit enter and boom CTD... Can anybody else reproduce this ?

Cheers,

Thomas

I still have problem with activation ,I tried everything you have wrote about it still nothingSo I ca not fly and can not get avionics work, voltage numbers do not appear where excatlly activation number should pop outthanks

Hi Guys, I just would like to add my experience so far... never had a ctd or any problems actually. Since installing the J41 I do however always have FSX crash on exit even when I have not used the J41. Whatever is causing it has to get loaded when FSX starts up. Hi When I was doing the tutorial flight, starting the descent into KIAD I realized that the landing weight in the load sheet was not the same as in the tutorial, where it says that the landing weight has to be 19840lbs. but according to the load sheet was 20203lbs. I want ensure if it is an issue or not :( I know that some things have been fixed in the load sheet for SP1 but I was not sure if this one, (if it is an issue) was posted before.many thanksAsier

Off the top of my head (is there a texting shortcut for that?) the fuel on the worksheet is not updated as you burn. IMHO it shouldn't because it simulates a piece of paper.

So how do I know the weight of the aircraft when landing?Asier

Math....if you know your weight before take off...and there are these handy gadgets in the cockpit that tell you "fuel used." So then you just need to subtract your fuel used from your loaded fuel.

At the time of takeoff, the landing weight was forecast on the worksheet based on time of flight and estimated fuel burn. On arrival, you now have actual fuel burn. Note the payload weight on the worksheet didn't change unless you are taking sky jumpers up (or an ex).

Ok thanks guys, forgive my ignorance. It is very obvious, but I have not noticed....sorry :( RegardsAsier

Now that's friggin' funny! Why didn't I think of that, LOL.... It would've been cheaper than paying the lawyers! :(

Hopefully the hold function is included in that...

FMS off after engine start. The flow is as follows:Before starting engines, I switch off avionics. After that, FMS remains on.After starting both engines, I switch on both generators and the avionics. Now, PFD and HSI light up again. Then I cut ground power.PFD and HSI remain on (as they should), but now the FMS goes off! How come?Michael
