Heads Up - QualityWings 757 paints now available for download

Hi William I mostly use fs9 so it doesn't affect me that much they have done a nice job with the total package maybe it wont be that bad in fsx and the frame rates are steady the cs757 even the fsx demo I tried out put my frame rates really low.
Anything gets better performance than the CS757. The Flight1 Citation Mustang, PMDG 747X, and PMDG MD-11X even beat the CS 757 on my computer. If CS were to allow you to disable the VC cabin like with the 767, maybe FPS wouldn't be so bad with it. Anyways back to the QW bird. Depending on user feedback in FSX as well as the release date for the LDS bird, I may end up getting it anyways. 45 dollars for a portover just doesn't seem to interest me a whole lot. :\I'm going to reserve any more judgment until there's some user feedback. I REALLY want this to work nicely in FSX. And somewhere deep down I really want to get it, despite my reservations!

I'm not paying $45 for a FS9 port! :( Quality Wings, when you release a real FSX product let me know. No doubt the Level D 757 will be out by the time you release a real FSX model, so you shouldn't expect my money then either!

I have to say, Qualitywings deserve respect for making explicit the limitations of their product in FSX. Nothing wrong with having FS9 as their main focus as long as they are up front about it. The rest of us will just have to wait a bit longer for a good FSX 757.

I agree... at least they were very clear about it. I intend to buy both versions and if the FSX version turns out to be an "under-performer"... then I'll park it and wait for the LDS 757. :(

Hey guys I'm just happy to get a new 757 and I think 45 is a great deal for a complete package and the upcoming lds 757 is gonna be a really nice product too I will definitely buy both since I love the 757.

Three years after the release of FSX, I think I can still count the number of FSX "Native" airliners on one hand. I would rather have FSX "native" products but I don't think developers are going to get the most out of them financially. I would rather have more quality developers willing to make models for flight simulator period. The more money they make, the more they will produce. The hardware has begun to catch up and I think we will begin to see more people gravitate over to FSX. Once that happens, developers will begin to scratch their FS9 offerings.I do think that this 757 will perform well in FSX. They have left out a lot of the useless stuff like virtual toilets, virtual cabins...I'd love to see a FPS comparison between the CS757 and the QW757 in FSX once it is released. Something tells me that is will be a better performer and it may out perform LD757 because of its simplicity - Native or not. Of course, this is all speculation - we'll know the truth soon.

Funny things is, the CS757 has always run very well for me in FSX. Never had issues with its performance. It ran just as well as the PMDG 747 or Maddog 2008.

I've never really had issues with the performance of the CS757 either.

None of those are stellar performers in FSX. Great systems of course, but fps definitely at the low end of the scale. The MD-11 (which had FSX as its primary development target) performs much better.

Maybe, but it is just a small selection of the addon planes I own. Point is, I find it runs just as good as most of addon aircraft for FSX. Can't remember about FS9, but I don't intend to install it again in FS9. I'm waiting for the Qualitywings 757 now (although I spent a lot more than my budget would actually allow already... Here's hoping Qualitywings doesn't release their 757 in december :-P Nah, just kidding).
