February 28, 201016 yr I seem to have missed the memo, just wondering whats new and improved with ASE over ASA? FS2020 Alienware Aurora R11 10th Gen Intel Core i7 10700F - Windows 11 Home 32GB Ram NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Super OC 16GB - Pimax Crystal Light VR
February 28, 201016 yr It seems like clouds' pop-ups are history now. Just finished KORD-PHNL and didn't notice anything wrong. Tomorrow I'd like to test Atlantic aerospace (something like BOS-LHR) and if everything will be smooth as it was today, good old ASV6.5 will be finally retired. 9950X3D, X870E ROG CROSSHAIR HERO, Corsair Dominator Titanium 64GB DDR5-6000 PC5-48000, ASUS RTX 5070Ti 16GB, 9100 PRO 4TB Samsung ,990 PRO 4TB Samsung, AX1600i 1600 Watt 80 Plus Titanium ATX, ASUS 360 ARGB EXTREME 360mm Liquid CPU Cooling Kit.

February 28, 201016 yr Ugh!! The document didn't get updated, so please don't yell at me about that! Now I can't officially list or go back to a previous document to look at. I can list some things if people think that would help. From B433-435 of ASA:Cloud pop ups especially in FS2004.Cumulus clouds being drawn at high altitudes.Cloud layers being drawn at wrong altitudes.TAT temperatures more realistic at high altitudes.Ground winds more realistic at ADVANCED INTERPOLATED airports.Force Destination Wx Zone option fixed.Gosh, I know there are things I have not included, but those are some major things.

I did a Maddog FS9 KATL-KLGA with Direct Wind on last night and didn't get one wild change AND the transitions between layers was just that, a smooth transition instead of the abrupt direction\speed changes as you transition. I was motoring along at FL330 wondering what was missing and suddenly realized that I was not seeing the mach changes associated with wind changes. Nice! No cloud pops was a good fix but for me it's the flight level winds fix that gets the no. 1 spot.BTW, I want to publicly acknowledge your great customer service for me yesterday. I wish that other developers were as responsive and courteous as HiFi. Thank you! February 28, 201016 yr transitions between layers was just that, a smooth transition instead of the abrupt direction\speed changes as you transition. What settings do you have then?I have DWC enabled and wind smoothing etc disabled in FSUIPC. All other ASE settings as defaultThe flight I have just done was horrendous with Barometric pressure jumping around, wind speed slowing/increasing wildly and altitude disappearing from the altimeter ie was at 4000ft on approach then jumped up to 4800ft thanksGraham

February 28, 201016 yr Ground winds more realistic at ADVANCED INTERPOLATED airports.Hi JimWhat does this improvement mean in practice?
February 28, 201016 yr Hi,For me with ASE/FS9 I have always pop up cloud like with ASA/FS9.....No change always the same bug.Christian
February 28, 201016 yr I remember there being some type of issue with weather being set "globally" that impacted addons like RC in ASA, which kept me from upgrading my AS6.5. Does this issue remain with ASE? Bryan OpalkaNoble Air - Americas Region
February 28, 201016 yr Gerald, Thanks!JET1, that all the winds will not be zero kts all the time.Nobleord, that is an outcome of DWC mode in FSX, it is not an issue that will ever be fixed using DWC, so you disable DWC Mode, control wind shifts through FSUIPC, and then RC will work correctly.

That really seems to be the key. I had issues in ASA with DWC all the time but it really is good now with all FSUIPC weather off.Hope this helps. I had issues in ASA with DWC all the time but it really is good now with all FSUIPC weather off.It is apparent from your reply that you have registered your FSUIPC to access the weather menus. Mine is not registered, so I just click on the weather disable button in FSUIPC, which does not fix the problem. Can it be confirmed by someone that if I register my FSUIPC I can use it with ASE? I don't use it for anything, except I would like to use AISmooth that requires at least the unregistered installation. Art
