April 13, 201016 yr I have my picks, but I wanted to hear from the community first. What's the most complex aircraft you have for FS9?
April 13, 201016 yr Hi,My pick would be:- SSTSIM Concorde- RFP B747-200- Leonardo MD-82- SCS Tu-134- Dreamfleet B727- DA Fokker 70/100- PMDG B747-400- PMDG B737- LDS B767- F1 ATR-72- Feelthere ERJ 135/145There are still a few complex aircraft out there that I hadn't had the time to enjoy yet. Project Tupolev Tu-154M comes to my mind...Regards,Jure
April 13, 201016 yr PMDG's MD-11 is very cool too, systems wise and all, if not the coolest! Onur K. Visit my FS blog: Clear Right...
April 13, 201016 yr I've gotten about every good quality addon over the years. The only two that I have still yet to "master" are the Leonardo Maddog and the SSTSIM, so I'd say they were the most complex. i7 2600k @ 5.1Ghz, ASUS Sabertooth P67, 8GB Corsair Vengeance DDR3 1600Mhz, EVGA GTX 580 @ 950MHz, OCZ Vertex II 240GB, ASUS Xonar DG, Thermaltake Toughpower XT 875W PSU, Antec KÜHLER 620 W/C, Corsair 600T SE White My FS9 Screens - http://fs9screens.blogspot.com/ Callum Richardson
April 13, 201016 yr The Project Tupolev TU154M. That is a challenge if ever there was one. If you can master that and the Concorde you can probably fly anything. This would mean learning INS navigation and the various exotic Russian techniques.Cheers,Dave ---------------------- Dave Bedford
April 13, 201016 yr PMDG Boeing 737-800/900Feelthere Embrear ERJ 135/145Wilco Airbus A319/A320/A321Wilco Airbus A330/A340For me the A320 is the most enjoyable :)
April 13, 201016 yr There are many complex aircraft for FS9. I found these 4 to be the most challenging, complex and rewarding:Project Tupolev Tu-154M (and earlier Tu-154B2 model)PSS ConcordeRFP Boeing 747-200Level D Boeing 767Also it might be worth mentioning for GA, the Antonov An-2 from Anton Nikolaev 'Xomer', which involved a unique engine start up procedure and constant monitoring of temperature gauges and work with cowl flaps and oil cooler damper to keep the engine temperature in check - if not the engine starts to cut off. At the same time not allowing the temperature to drop below advisable levels. Also it required use of the propeller pitch lever in conjunction with the throttle. Add to that some very good flight dynamics. Pretty complex for an aircraft originally made for FS2002. There's been a number of updates to it over the years, by a variety of people. I think, out of all the GA aircraft simulated for FS, this is probably the most challenging one and it deserved a mention for that. ..........There are still a few complex aircraft out there that I hadn't had the time to enjoy yet. Project Tupolev Tu-154M comes to my mind...Try it, its really good. Out of all the other payware and freeware I ended up flying this the most.Edit:Whoops, forgot to add the C-130 Hercules from Captain Sim.
April 13, 201016 yr Pretty sophisticated as well: Majestic Software Dash-8. Unfortunately the graphics and the prize are not very convincing. But when it comes to realism concerning turboprop simulation it's difficult to find anything more complex in FS9. I'm thinking particularly of beta range, respective sound and deceleration when you reduce throttle. Well the entire characteristics of turboprop handling is great. Also the options to generate failures are amazing. But the prize... Cheers - Stefan Maus
April 13, 201016 yr Dave & Momtchil: thanks for the heads up... .smile: The Tu-154 has long been on my list of the "must have-s" and I'll just have to find the time one of these days. I've become quite comfortable with both russian navigation systems on Tu-134, so transition will be a bit easier. I hope...I forgot the PMDG MD-11 and the CS Herc. The first I fly a lot, the latter I haven't flown for a long time. Interesting topic!Regards,Jure
April 13, 201016 yr I also have the Project Tupolev IL-62 installed...just been reading up on it so can't comment on it's compelxity yet but it looks pretty well modelled. There are a number of absolute gems on the Samdim site also including the An-24 (with excellent VC), TU-144 and Yak-42.I've heard the supersonic Tu-114 is also excellent - there are two different versions of this available, one is slightly more complex than the other I believe - I don't have the links at hand. Two payware models which aren't talked about very often are the SSW A310 and the SD Yak-40 - have a look if you haven't already - one of the best panels in FS2004 imo. ---------------------- Dave Bedford
April 13, 201016 yr Certainly the PT TU-154M. A masterpiece of hard word and enormous satisfaction. Also PMDG MD-11 - especially if you're used to Boeings :(I have the SD Yak 40, I love it and it will keep you busy. Gavin Barbara Over 10 years here and AVSIM is still my favourite FS site :-)
April 13, 201016 yr Airsimmer A320... :( First on my list is PMDG MD11, than PMDG 747... My Specification: I CAN RUN FSX IN MAX SETTINGS....i don't care about dell, bell, amd, intel, 60000 wats power supply or alien made graphic card....
April 13, 201016 yr The two that I have allways enjoyed for their degree of difficuly are the Dreamfleet 727 and the PMDG 747. With full realism set the 727 is great. It has multiple panels and almost nothing is automated.Tom
