...One more thing Mr 'Nelson', for someone in Sweden you sure do have some strange sleeping habits :) more like someone located this side of the pond....
Well Mr Bojote, local time is 21.00 and I'm going to bed within an hour or so. Hope it's OK with you. :(

some hardware site making those kind of inconsistent statements would get flamed to death and loose all credability.
You got kicked of the amdforums :) so you are the expert at loosing credibility here Mr. Nelson. Thats what you do, when you loose all credibility, and thats exactly what you are going to do in the FSX community ;) you are sooo predictable.and MOD's please do NOT lock this one :) you all want to know whats next :)

Really? Just me?

The Avsim netadmins do have the ability to target his IP and MAC address, but it needs to come from a request such as this - to a Mod, then perhaps to Tom. It's been done before when other people have crossed the line. The RIAA do this all the time for pirated movies, music, etc; the police go even further when it concerns types of porn.

Since you cant reply without continued personal attacks or baiting to anyone who dare questions you, I'll go back to flying and you can go back to making more waffles.
1) I did not come here attacking anyone ;) I started the topic, then you came along, the rest is history :)2) I'm the first to ADMIT to errors and/or mistakes ;) like I have previously shown in my posts. Questioning is GOOD, healthy, it promotes discussion.. but how can I start a discussion with you if you don't even point out the 'errors' or 'mistakes' in my findings? you post here anonymously, so how can you pretend people will take you seriously? look at the date your account was created! a week ago! see? how can you talk about 'credibility' then? enjoy the waffles.

Better that than this kind of conversation, don't you think? J van E is completely right. We do what we like to do. It's my money if I want to spend it. If he doesn't like it, he doesn't have to post. He's the only kid without manners here, and those have to be taught their lesson, IMHO. A week old account, and then this? Come on...It can be traced where he's from, based on that locked. Even maybe has a static IP, who knows (mods know).

You are right... back to tweaking, no need to waste our time here.
Interesting... since all the research I've been doing focused on BP=0 I never mentioned something that might 'explain' why so do have good results with 500.000.There is 'yet another' hidden variable in BufferPools ;) its called: RejectThreshold. like this:RejectThreshold=1000000So, if you want to experiment (you say 1000000 will give you problems) so, reduce the threshold to 500.000 and leave PoolSize at a high value. (default)
Am I correct in assuming that this parameter goes under the [bufferPools] heading? Also how set UsePools? Thanks.

Well, now I'm devided between watching "As The World Turns" or reading this thread with you all going at each others :( ......both are very good..... :( .......JUST KIDDING......

Good luck trying to get an audience with any Aces Team member in this environment.
LOL ;) You are dying to know who I talked to don't you? :)

I'd like to know this, too, actually, please and thank you.Is this the card to get, or not, for sure, or not.

No not really, was more intrested in how the 480 really performs at the highest IQ levels of FSX and driver settings in nhancer -AA/AF and high screen res with complex sceneries and aircraft like PMDG 747 @ FSDTKORD with UT traffic set at high etc, but If dont want to answer that, then Just give it a rest Bejote, go back to flying or tweaking. :(

You like to use BP=0 but currently have instalability problems? You like to run the sim with the frames locked between 25-35 FPS either inside the sim or using an external frame limiter? You like to run MAX sliders (specially autogen)If you answered YES to the above, then the GTX 480 is right for you... a GTX 480 is just like a GTX 285, but with the ability to run max autogen + IQ + BP=0 without any instability. FPS wise, is about the same as the GTX 285.

The bottom line is, those that can afford to get the GTX480 probably will. Flight Simmers are notorious for chasing the latest hardware. Looking at NewEgg, it appears that the cards are in very short supply right now. As they become more available, you'll see users comments on how they work with FSX. As far as *******' tweaks go. You try them, and if they work great. If they don't, well, hopefully you were smart enough to back up your cfg file. The rest of this has degenerated into a sniping session, which is starting to get a little tedious.
