Carenado Petition (new F33A)...

Featured Replies

Craig has a very good point here. We have MANY FS9 G/A aircraft and to be honest I won't be getting the F33A for FS9 either (I have the DF A36). Now something like the 185 (I have for FSX) I would also get for FS9 and of course the 208 could find it's way into both my FS9/FSX hangers.
I will. I think the Carenado F33 will blow the DF A36 out of the water. What I really want is a new V35B as although the model is lovely the VC is pretty useless.

Carenado can count on me to buy a fs9 version :(

HelloJust emailed them, I would like to see them continue with FS9 development and will buy the F33 if it is released for FS9What I really want though is a new V-35 Bonanza for FS9

I hope the lack of interest in this thread isn't indicative of the same lack of interest in FS9 add-ons reported by some developers. Not saying there should be a big response to this thread I just figured more people would weigh in on this as Carenado very well could teeter over to FSX only status.
I have bought all of Carenado's fs9 aircraft to date and will buy the 185 also if/when it comes out in fs9 - but not FSX. I suspect that like lots of serious simmers I have too much invested in fs9 to go over to FSXBill

I sort of have to agree with Craig, I have so many G/A add-ons that I would most likely not buy the aircraft in question, however this does not mean that I am not interrested in purchasing fs9 aircraft anymore, just not this particular plane. Now if a newer dash-8 or the pmdg j41 was available for fs9, I would definetly purchase it. I feel that fs9 is not dead when it comes to developer's opinion, I just think that they need to crucially analyze the market on what aircraft they are willing to put out for fs9. By the looks of this thread it seems many people are interested in this aircraft, so I hope that carenado makes it a fs9 aircraft for the sake of people that want it, however I would not be purchasing it so would not feel comfortable saying i am interested when Im really not.P.S I am a fs9 User 100% of the time, no fsx for me, but it is just my opinion.

Lack of interest may indicate there's already an excellent A36 from DF w/ RXP WX radar and GNS430. Unless it's compelling, why buy the same thing over again, unless the intent is to collect as many planes as possible. As far as I'm concerned, no need for this for FS9, they can focus on FS10.Pat

Unfortunately, the Dreamfleet A36 is listed by Flight1 as "Win XP Only", as I don't believe the RealityXP GPS or radar are compatible with FS9 and Vista together. So, for us Vista sufferers, er, users, it's a no-go. Too bad, although it is a five-year-old product, also, and VC design has advanced a bit since then.

A36 works on my Win7-64, only thing is you have to shell out $50 for the RXP GNS430, radar works just fine. But this gauge can be used on other planes like the DA Cheyenne so not a bad investment in the end. Pat

The A36 is a newer build in the Bonanza family. The F33A and A36 are two totally different planes both in FS9 and FSX (two different generations). It would be no different than already having the FSD Seneca and opting out of Caranado's version which is a 70's model. A 747-200 is different from a 747-400 even though they are both 747's. Already having the Ready for Pushback model didn't stop me from getting the PMDG version.

FS8 port-over RFP doesn't compare w/ FS9 PMDG744. If I recall, RFP 742's VC was pretty primitive by FS9 standards. Operative word here: "Compelling." PMDG 744 was a compelling addition, avionics never modeled before, state-of-the-art in its time. DF A36 still looks and flies damn good w/ nice avionics, no need for another variant. Just as there's no need for FS10 PMDG744 because it isn't a compelling product against its older FS9 sister.Of couse, all personal taste so not a big deal.Pat

.......yes personal taste. I have taken the RFP 742 on literally hundreds of very satisfying flights with more to come. I could count my PMDG 744 flights on one hand. :(But then I do not use the VC...in fact I do not use the RFP model..... or the PMDG model. All personal taste.
