August 22, 201015 yr Bravo Carenado! Warning this will be a bit of a rant... Thank you Carenado for not rushing! The internet has made this hobby what it is and a developers ability to easily send updates to their customers is overall a good thing. BUT, a lot of developers use that ability as an excuse to put out un-finished half-a**** crap, that works half as well as advertised on a good day. As you can probbably tell I recently experienced this phenomenon, (I won't name names). I don't know when exactly this became okay, I get the idea that the common thinking for some companies is ('sok, we'll fix it in a patch, release it broken!). Carenado has NEVER done this since I've been a customer of them, yes, they have sent out updates, for very minor issues, not major, product is inoperative issues. So I just want to say thank you Carenado for not rushing to put this product out, thanks you for taking your time to do it right the FIRST time, thank you for respecting your cutomers and their hard earned money, and puting them before some arbitrary deadline. I think that good buisness principles like craftsmanship, quality and, pride in your work are timeless and valuable (even in the internet age) and will pay bigger dividends in the end.Bravo (BTW, another great add-on ;-P ) gentlemen,A~ Inigo Montoya
August 22, 201015 yr What? Here's my counter-rant.The Bonanza was horribly wrong when it first came out. The customers, myself included, had to edit the flight model to make it even remotely close to the real aircraft. There are still problems that have carried on from plane to plane for the last at least half dozen releases or so. People have volunteered to beta test for them but they always turn us down, myself included. Every Carenado release I find a pretty good list of errors. They need to spend more time in beta testing with more competent testers. They've not done it right the "FIRST" time for quite some time.I'm disappointed with their service on this forum and through their email. I've mentioned errors to them, but they did nothing to fix them. I'm disappointed that Carenado doesn't take that extra little step to make their planes that much better. Still, I buy almost every single release of theirs because no one else has been releasing any decent GA aircraft (I've got well over a dozen of their planes for both FS9 and FSX). I'll surely buy the Caravan too. However I am expecting a whole plethora of problems, as usual. Please prove me wrong in the future, Carenado! A clean release would be very refreshing and a nice change of pace. :( Tired of Streetlights everywhere? Try MSFS DarkStreets today!
