August 18, 201015 yr Commercial Member i doubt its dash 8,as "it comes in somewhere between the NGX AND 777 release"why they are not making a -400Q, is beyond me.. Alex Ridge Join Fswakevortex here! YOUTUBE and FACEBOOK
August 18, 201015 yr i think alex is right, maybe its the NGX or another suprise. It would be sweet if the LCF and NGX were released in the next few weeks. Dylan Leonard
August 18, 201015 yr i think alex is right, maybe its the NGX or another suprise. It would be sweet if the LCF and NGX were released in the next few weeks.I don't think we'll have to wait that long:We have just pushed the final beta of the PMDG 747-400 Large Cargo Freighter out to the beta team. We anticipate that this product will be available to you within 24-48hrs!
August 18, 201015 yr Holy cow, big news indeed! Can't say I am a fan of the LCF though, but it's nice to have this added variety. But what I find the most interesting is the "small plane" mentioned. "When it rains, it pours" indeed, as was already said in this thread. Not only do we get the 737NGX that for so long was talked about and only slivers were shown, also the iFly 737 is appearing. It's the A320 thing all over again. Now there are none, then there is a heap of them. I don't complain, the more the merrier I say. August 18, 201015 yr Captains!Okay- this is going to be "announcement week" here in the PMDG forum!Lets start out with something small... Or...actually...something BIG!We have just pushed the final beta of the PMDG 747-400 Large Cargo Freighter out to the beta team. We anticipate that this product will be available to you within 24-48hrs!This product is a bit different than many of the others we've released- as it came about thanks to the kindness of our friends at Boeing, who provided us with a bunch of engineering information on the physical design of the airplane.Never ones to miss a challenge, we decided it would be fun to put this airplane, along with some of its functionality into FSX!With the PMDG 747-400 LCF, you will not only be able to fly around in the largest volume cargo aircraft in the sky- you'll be able to load and unload some of the very valuable loads that provide this airplane with employment!Whether you pick up fuselage sections, wings, tail components, or just fly the airplane empty- the PMDG 747-400LCF will give you a completely new arena of missions and opportunities for your 747-400 flying! The LCF is a product extension to the 747-400, and does not update any of the functionality of the aircraft, but adds the fully animated 747-400LCF into your flightsim environment for you to enjoy! The product page is available here: http://www.precisionmanuals.com/pages/product/74l.htmlWe'll have a big announcement about a smaller airplane a bit later in the week....Stay tuned!Robert, is this smaller airplane solely for FSX? August 18, 201015 yr Commercial Member Captains-[...] let me be abundantly clear on two things:1) The future of an FS2004 based 737NG2 is doubtful at best. [...] We will make a decision when the FSX version of this product is in beta testing, as that will allow us to evaluate against data that is current at the decision making time.2) Aside from the 737NG2.0, no other PMDG product announced or in development will be considered for the FS2004 platform. This means that the Dash-8, the 777 and the recently announced 747-8 Extension will be in FSX only. I am sorry if this was not clear in our announcement from Saturday- but this has been stated before in previous discussions, so we thought it was understood.[...] Robert S. August 18, 201015 yr I don't want to turn this into an FSX vs FS9 war but c'mon seriously man....its Aug 2010..FSX has been out for how many years and MS have just announced a NEW flight sim. Sooner or later you will need to realise that we ALL need to move forward. J Thomas YBBN
August 19, 201015 yr I don't want to turn this into an FSX vs FS9 war but c'mon seriously man....its Aug 2010..FSX has been out for how many years and MS have just announced a NEW flight sim. Sooner or later you will need to realise that we ALL need to move forward. Not really. We dont have to move on. I have a machine that can handle FSX, but I chose not to. I have spend well over $350 on addons for FS9 this year alone; and I will spend more. I understand the reason people think that the latest is the greatest, and everyone must have it. And I willagree that FSX has a lot of great features, but the shiny water, and wet tarmac are not for everyone. I am sad that this will be PMDGs last FS9 product(if they make it for fs9), but I understand why they are; therefore I can not hold them at fault. Once there are some more major airports, and a few more high end aircraft available, I might change myself. But not until I have what I want from my flight sim. Lets not call it a New Flight Sim Yet, From what I have read it is more of a game than a sim. Read the attached interview, and tell me if you are still excited about FLIGHT. I am not!!Link to article Jonathan Bradbury A part of the Flight Sim World since 1980 System Stats:MS Windows 10 64bit Home / Intel Kaby Lake i7 @4.2 / ASUS MAX IX Hero Motherboard /Corsair DDR4 16.00G Ram /Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050Ti Video Card
August 19, 201015 yr I am sad that this will be PMDGs last FS9 product(if they make it for fs9), but I understand why they are; therefore I can not hold them at fault. This is FSX only product... I dont know where you got it is for FS9. Iets not make this a FS9 vs. FSX argument as many people have said. This is about the PMDG LCF. Lets keep it at that.
