You've demonstrated you couldn't care less about the facts and we're all pleased to know you're blissful in your ignorance. End of didcussion.

Really I should take advice from Bill... the man that has the most complicated scheme for converting to BCD16 I've ever seen... apparently he didn't take first year programming eitehr where you deal with bitshifting.
I must point out that I am not the one who developed the Horner Scheme originally, and as it happens the example(s) I've made available came directly from Arne Bartells. As for the elliptical throw away remark, that's just plain uncalled for and a gratuitous insult. I earned my MS in Computer Science back in 1988, and taught Intro to CS for many years at UoF, Gainesville.

Yeah well an MS in CS would know how to bitshift and not increase the call stack. Afterall it's a bitarray.. that's a hint.

ZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzz....Back on topic...I still would love to see realistic (or more realistic) ATCVolumetric cloudsWeather issues, such as icing affecting airframeAnd (if possible), 3rd party legacy support

Since we're back on topic I'd love to see some features that expands Acceleration addon concept. I really love to fly combat planes in FSX, especially Navy (Hornet, SuperBug, F-14, T-45). I like to see FSX as a training application for military, but non-combat training. We have nice, moving carriers, with TACAN and ILS. FSX is now the best simulator to perform carrier quals (Su33 in LO:FC is second, but it's far behind). I'd love to see a proper aerial refuel that require physical connection between aircraft and tanker, with both probe/drogue, and flying boom.This:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5GiIH1NHPKA&NR=1Render to texture (mirrors, camera feed to MFD), possibility to alter postprocess shader in realtime and tilt engines for Harrier/Osprey aircrafts available in SDK would be great too.

Not sure if I posted in this topic previously, and I don't want to look through the pages, LOL. Big%20Grin.gifI want to see:-More helicopters - improved handling, as the default R22 and EH-101 are terrible flight dynamics-wise. Also, the clutch control was broken with Acceleration in FSX...this needs to be fixed!-Continue to support Gmax with an SDK. Freeware modelers would be history if 3Ds was only supported.-Improved FPS and reliability - NO CRASHES!!!!That's all I ask for. If it looks mostly like FSX, I don't care. I just really want good performance!

I should think the last thing Flight will have is more complex helicopter flight dynamics, they were already dumbed down a bit in the last incarnations of MSFS to make them easier to fly because people complained they were too tough in the preceding versions, and if MS want to appeal to casual users I can't see them reversing that decision. Of course that's just my guess and I'd like to think I'm wrong, but I wouldn't put money on it.Al

They certainly didn't make them easier in FSX. The R22 and EH-101 are extremely hard to control. The Bell 206 went pretty much unchanged as far as handling goes. If the EH-101 and R22 are included in Flight, they need to be fixed up so they actually fly right. The Eh-101 FDE is quite bugged and needs to be overhauled. In my previous post, I didn't mean that they need to make the helicopters more complex, but make them fly right. (not counting the bell 206)

It's not exactly true. DCS: Black Shark and HTR module are much more realistic than FSX default helicopters, and both are much easier to fly than FSX when you'll understand how it works. I can hover Ka-50 (hover, not autohover), operate weapons systems by clicking them in VC, and shoot to enemy vehicles at the same time. I doubt I'd be able to do it with FSX flight dynamics. Beside, it's a simulator. I want an option to have a maximum realism possible, not only for planes, but for helicopters too. If I'd want to fly easy helicopters, I'd play Battlefield, or Apache Air Assault.

What's not exactly true? The flight modeling for rotary winged craft in MSFS since they were first introduced in FS98, was for a long time based purely on the Bell 206 JetRanger in subsequent iterations of FS, but when the Robinson R22 was introduced to FS, things the air file was capable of supporting were simplified in comparison to the 206, that's a fact. Whether you can hover a chopper in DCS Black Shark has got nothing to do with it.And with regard to chopper handling in FSX, apparently what you need to do is put the realism settings just off 100 percent (i.e. 99 percent-ish), which improves the handling considerably. Dunno if that's true, but that's according to the guys at Hovercontrol.Anyway, back on the subject of MS Flight, if it is anything like all other MS flight sims, I suspect we'll still be in the hands of developers such as Nemeth, Cera and Dodosim to bring us choppers that are really worth whizzing around in, things such as the Nemeth MD500 are simply way more realistic than any default FS chopper, and I daresay they'll be on the case making stuff for Flight when an SDK is out.Al

FSX helicopters flight dynamics is not too hard, but wrong. That's why they are hard to fly.

I want just one thing from MsFlight - proper OVERCAST clouds... ( and better precipitation effects )

On my list, improved ATC and AI systems and/or decent SDK access to those systems to allow third party devs to go nuts.Overcast, better (vertical) visibility.Really, that's all I need to dump FS9.
