What do you think mid 2010 means? Sounds like summer in the states. :\

They took off the mid- part a while ago. It is just 2010.

And they also stated: " All Dates Approximate " ......However, in all due respect, I can't see how they are going to outdo the MD-11.....I'm still learning new things about the systems and redundant features of this A/C everyday....I just can't believe that it will come anywhere close to the MD-11 and it's current avionics. The MD is and remains a 'masterpiece'...Of course I may be wrong, and I hope that I am, but I don't think so.Regards,jack noulet

As I noted awhile back "mid" has about 20 different meanings, but the most forgining would be the middle two quarters, which ends this month. I don't think they'll hit that (which makes me slightly sad), but I think in the end they won't miss it by very much.

You are far from the first to sing these high praises of the MD-11. I have long refused to buy this plane, not because I think it to be a bad simulation, but rather I have a very negative bias grounded in real life on the DC-10/MD-11 aircraft, but with so many people saying how great a sim it is, I may yet have to bit the bullet and buy the thing.

Why does the release date matter so much to some of you? Sometimes I wish PMDG would announce they canceled the NGX, just to see some people freaking out over it.Like this guy:

my money is on early next year. These updates are delay tactics to prevent people losing hope. I love what PMDG does with their products but don't like the way they keep customers in the dark about where the production of the software is at. I would trade the updates for a rough idea on where the production stage is at. We all agree it's going to be awesome. There is no need to emphasize this anymore than has already been done through the slivers but the question on everybodys mind is how much longer. It doesn't have to be a certain date or certain month. I'd be happy with quarter. This quarter or next or the next after that one. How about showing us eager customers a little more respect and give us a 'sliver' on time frames to release.Mike Kendall

These kind of posts are really starting to get irritating. Let them finish already. Sure they could tell you an estimate of december. But something may come up and they need to do more programming. Then you will say the typical "But you told us December! You lied". And if the do release it in December when it isn't ready then you say "You released a piece of junk with bugs". They can't win!!!!!!!!!! Just let them finish the damn product already and quit with the annoying posts. Rant over......until next annoying post.Jack C

3rd that. Too everybody saying stuff that includes this Mid-2010 stuff, Im going to say again that they got rid of it because as previously stated by PMDG "We have blown past that."

Well mid 2010 is the summer and when I last looked up Christmas it was damm close to end of year. Ofc there is a disclaimer and ofc its late, but like Mike Kendall above post we all agree it will be the best, so like him I dont need more " XXXXX in a series" just some good idea of when we will see it.

I have purchased every "great" addon there is, and the MD-11 is the best by far! You won't be disappointed.

before you go assuming anything about the people that comment on here you should know that I have worked as a project manager on CRMs (customer relation management) systems. Complex systems with a team of programmers. I for one completely understand that from time to time things don't go as planned but we also believed in keeping end users up to date on progress delayed or not. We are not asking that they rush this plane through we are simply stating that an update on progress would be appreciated. If we are a month away great, 3 months ok, 6 months disappointing. If you are irratated by people commenting on this topic then what are you here for? Would you prefer pictures of dirt? Pictures of bunnies? Blah blah blah about which plane is the loudest? Or idiots who ask questions that were answered several times earlier like will it work with fs2004? or maybe you like reading the same comments over and over again like 'this is going to be so awesome, PMDG you are the best'. Because 85% of this forum as been these things and 15% (that's been generous) has been useful, constructive information. Point is we are all here for one reason....to talk about our thoughts on this upcomming beauty and hopefully learn more about it so if you don't like what people are thinking, go fly a planemike Kendall

I visit PMDG site and forum every day, to see if there's the " magic home page " with a 737 NGX :D.I'm sure that PMDG is working very hard on this project and that when it'll be released it will be the FS killer app.The only 2 things i was disappointed are:Why PMDG has not done a 737 NG porting for fsx like 747 ? I think that many people it'd buy it and that there would be less controversy over the date of release for the NGXIn the site under NGX section the phrase screenshot cooming soon is empty for almost two years !!!OK i think that if so many people are asking for release date itshould not be a pain for programmers, but a sign of appreciation for all they have done so far. All producers of success are plagued by anxious customers! Sadly not, coming into winter myself too... just pointing out that in some areas of the world summer hasn't started yet!Come to think of it, maybe PMDG should have said summer after all, then they could say they meant Australian summer if they missed US's summer! :(
