Some Dirt on the PMDG 737 NGX

Featured Replies

and if the livery does not exist - PMDG will provide us with a paintkit and then ... everything is possible as long as there are some dedicated painters to do so ... lastly i found my self hanging on the paintkits longer than i fly planes ;)

Best regards,

You will never see American Airlines as a Default Livery and will see it most likely as Alex mentioned. AA is extremely watchful of anyone using their name for anything without written consent. They are pretty law suit happy. I have every FSX Traffic program there is and not all of them even include the AA because of this. From a discussion in another forum a couple years ago, it was mentioned that they have had videos of their aircraft removed from youtube as well as pictures of their planes off places like Airliners.not.Pretty sad since they're a popular aircraft and being a proud American, they've made me hang my head in shame more than once.

How do AA get off not letting people post videos of their planes on youtube? That's a pretty broad (i.e., wrong) view of IP law. Of course, youtube just removes things after a take-down notice (and given the DMCA safe harbor, that's probably with good readon), but it would be nice to see someone push back against companies that issue overly aggressive notices. I think I may have to delete my MD-11 AA livery, just out of spite.

Haha, I once did that but then thought about it and realised it was more of a hurt to them for me to keep it.I admire the companies out there that still use them for their AI paints. As for the videos and such, I don't know how or even if they actually did, I just remember a thread a mile long with creditable peops mentioning they had.Use their paint, then post a video of it I say :(
Didn't the MD-11 and J41 ship with an AA paints?
No idea, I use the download version and it of course does not pack them the same for obvious reasons.

I am not sure I agree with this. I have seen and gotten plenty of pics of AAL planes on airliners.net, have seen many many videos of AAL planes on youtube, and UT has always had AAL planes in it.They did have that situation with Ariane ways back, but that was more Ariane's fault than AAL, and if they would go after anyone, it would be AvA, as they stamp EVERYTHING with the AA logo and make it look like they come from the realworld airline itself.

They have said they do not believe in adding weather radar since you cannot accurately simulate where the precipitation is due to Simconnect not passing that information on to other programs/FSX has no feature for that.. So it is a waste of code lines just to make a useless screen to play with in the cockpit. I am aware the real aircraft has one though, and while I would want one to be in NGX myself. Also being a dev too I know what they mean, and respect that they don't wish to waste time testing something they know won't work. Even though I am sure they could make one heck of a false radar though. I do not think the manuals and stuff are probably done seeing as he said their Alpha is still adding/coding features. The writting of the POH is probably the last, and easiest thing that needs to be done. I am pretty stoked about it though. I imagine it is going to be the J-41 combined with MD-11 like systems depth.
One of the most level-headed posts I've seen here in a long time - thank you Steve!Btw, I think the NGX VC destroys the J41's, Vin has stepped it up big time yet again.

Awesome vid. That plane looked so clean too (short of the dust, lol). Loved the shots of the FA reading the paper too!

I'm just thinking out loud here, but am I the only one thinking the release of the iFly 737 has significance to the NGX release date? I imagine the NGX is already 80% better than the iFly model, but if PMDG finds that iFly has some things that exceeded their own initial target, then they will surely go back and redo a few things to surpass what iFly has done. The 737 is to PMDG what the Accord is to Honda; I'm sure they won't release it until they're totally satisfied with it, and how it stands in comparison to the competing 737's.

Curt Branch

I highly highly highly doubt that. Does the iFly have a working HUD?

I hate to be the first one to tell you but there's no Santa! :(
If Santa doesnt exist does the NGX! :(

MD11 J41 747 NGX . . awaiting 777 !!!

Well PMDG are not from the southern hemisphere are they???? so back to the start...... PMDG at the beginning of the year said something alone the lines of "summer for NGX and Christmas for the 777". Unless you want to start all over again with They never said that...it was"targeted release date for the NGX was 'mid 2010', and the 777 I think was end of 2010" followed by a stunning reply about summer not being in June-July-Aug ...why because in the southern hemisphere it's in Dec and that has nothing..nothing to do with PMDG idea of summer."Not in the southern hemisphere! Big%20Grin.gif Summer starts in December! "OMG really @ your well thought out replies.
grow up mate, nobody's interested!
