Eaglesoft Cessna Citation 2.0 for FSX/FADEC

Featured Replies

Hello Everyone,I'm hoping someone can help me.I recently purchased the Cessna Citation X and am wondering how to use the FADEC features (I did purchase FSUIPC). I've been around the hobby for awhile, but have not invested in throttle gear (I use the keyboard for throttle), so I'm unsure as to how to set the detents for each phase of flight in order to activate FADEC. I've tried to register on the Eaglesoft forum, but haven't been confirmed yet (I registered on Friday evening)Thanks,Avery

It's as simple as having a registered FSUIPC installed on your machine and calibrating a joystick or yoke throttle control.FADEC operation is a matter of manually setting throttle levers to the detents using audible and visual cues.Email me your username and we'll fix you up in the forums.Big%20Grin.gif

Everything works like a charm! This is an awesome bird!

I recently just bought this too! Such an upgrade over the original! However, I have one question and one suggestion.1. How come changes you make to the 2D FMS are not reflected in the VC?2. Would it be AT ALL possible to have a "Hide Yoke" click spot? It's impossible to flip switches almost without it, and I find myself having to pull up the 2d panels for all of my switch operations! Thanks!

There is a hide your yoke click spot.  Its to the right of the yoke with a red knob on it  :(

Which is, of course, clearly indicated in the "Cockpit Layout" document......with pictures no less! :(

Haven't you learned yet Bill, I don't RTFM haha! I just took it up on a quick flight, as I got the F1 Mustang (which I'm going to return due to poor FPS), and the CX 2.0. Thanks for the info! I'll learn one day :)

Sorry for the thread bump, but I'm not able to log into the ES forums yet.Just bought this bird. My throttles are calibrated in FSX (I just have a single throttle control), but the throttles don't move. I read the bit about FADEC & FSUIPC. I'm still kinda murky as to what exactly FADEC does, but is FADEC required to operate the plane, and in turn, a registered FSUIPC is basically required to operate this plane? 'Cause I haven't bought a registered FSUIPC and I'm sorta put off by the fact that I have to spend another $30 just to have throttles. :( I mean I read before purchasing that FSUIPC is required for FADEC, but I didn't know FADEC was a required component.

FADEC is an integral feature of the plane and not an optional component. If you wish to use the plane you must have a registered version of FSUIPC. Fortunately, the plane is sold via the Flight1 wrapper which gives you an automatic 30 day unconditional refund if you decide not to keep it.DJ

You can use the plane fine without FSUIPC - I do! You're just going to miss the detents/power settings without it.About the throttles not moving, that's very odd. I use a CH throttle (single) and my power levers work just like any other plane. Are the levers working in all your other addons?

Thanks for the quick replies guys.

Does this mean I will always have to manually control the throttles? (which I am totally willing to do if it saves me $30 for the time being)

Yes. I just use the wheel on my Logitech Extreme joystick. Works for everything else. First time I've had this problem. I can't even click/drag the throttles either.
