As the thread starter said, he would like to see a GOOD 737 classic! The Wilco is out there, but the VC and external model and pretty awful. However it seems that Wilco have re done the ERJ145 and now attempting to do their airbus aircraft, so maybe they will finally go over and do up the 737 classics! I hope so as they are still great aircraft to fly!

I think Wilco/Feelthere are also getting their act together in terms of quality, the new ERJ and E-Jet packages are pretty good. I don't think anything will compare to the Dreamfleet 737's back in the day. They were truely stunning in my oppinion. The package came with a Go 737 ITVV production which was excellent as well.

600=500 replacement, 700=300, 800=400 basically. Pretty sure that's how Boeing intended it.

Yep. The original name for the NGs while they were under development was -500X, -300X, and -400X, respectively.

That would be nice, but where have you heard about this? Can you supply any link?Cheers

The Wilco-PIC 737 merged with the Fifty North model makes a notably good combination.

I have the Wilco/Feelthere version and don't have that much of problems with it. Although if V2 is in the pipeline, then I will surely get it.:(

Likewise!the old wilco is not bad for the age some people say its awful... yes compared to todays addons, but not for fs2004 which it was designed for

It really would be great if PMDG would go for the Classics.  They are different from the NG in so many ways (some ways in the subtle details).  The wing span is shorter.  The flaps/slats are completely different.  Engine Cowling is different.  That's just external.  Obviously the cockpit gauges are either analog or first generation CRT electronic displays.  Reconsider PMDG? ^_^

Well, isn't there the option to display instruments in a gauge style format on the PFD/ND? That'll get you close!

Holy thread revival!

Enigma Simulations has been working on a high quality 737 classic. It's been "on hold" for a while though.
