CS 707?

Featured Replies

I'm a huge fan of classic aircraft and was wondering if it was worth the current price or wait until the dec sale?

I bought it two days ago, just after they reduced the price further. Very pleased with it, especially since all the old FS9 repaints are compatible. And I don't believe it will be included in the Christmas-sale price-slashing anyway. John

Depends how badly you want a 707 I suppose. Like the preceding FS9 version, the FSX version is very nice and you can fly it like the real thing if that's what you want to do, since the systems are simulated well enough to make doing that fairly convincing. As with most CS stuff, the model looks great and has some very nice texturing. Worth noting is that there's a demo of it, so you can check it out and see if you'd like it before handing over any cash. For the ultimate in macho 1960s piloting realism, if you attach lead weights to your rudder pedals to make them really hard to move, so that your legs ache after half an hour of using the rudder, then it would be just like the real thing LOLAl

I wonder how many CS 707 threads Avsim can hold. Just%20Kidding.gifSee here for details on the next sales deal. You can read this in at least two different ways of course. If I find another one with the explicit exclusion of the 707, I'll post it.

If you purchase the the CS707 and are disapointed, I'll eat my...... err 707Seriously, it's very good indeed. And, if you add the CIVA INS, it's outstanding!

Windows 10 (x64) - X-Plane 11 - M/B: Asus ROG Maximus IX Hero - CPU: i7 7700k (@5.0GHz) - RAM: 32Gb Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 @ 3200MHz - Video: GTX1080ti - Cooling: Custom water loop (EK 140 Revo D5 pump/res combo, EK EVO CPU block, EK XE360 Rad)

Any thoughts on performance, say compared to their 727 or C-130?

I always wanted to say that to one of the admins: This is already explained in some of the other 707 threads. Big%20Grin.gifIt performs equally to the 727 and therefor very good. A side note: They announced that the upcoming 737-100 will perform even better, so it seems like the only demanding planes in the CS range are the FMC driven ones while the steamliners go very friendly. If you look how crisp and smooth the gauges are made on the 707, you will be even more amazed about the actual performance.

I have not installed my C130 or 727, but the FPS is awesome with the 707!

:( Nope, that one doesn't bother me. I actually like having multiple threads that cover the same topic, at least partially. For many of us, the search function has been having some problems, so I don't mind if people want to refresh my memory about something instead of having to scan through pages of forums when the search function is acting up.As for the performance, I'm glad to hear it. I thought the 727 was going to bring my system to it's knees, but it didnt' I can keep my frames locked at 30 and they stay there. Same with the C130. Sounds like CS has another customer tonight if the 707 is equally as easy on the frames.

Perhaps I can also mention that Jeremy spends hours a day removing spam, porn, priracy threads and lots of other bad stuff from the avsim forums so that simmers can have a great experience here-usually in between flyng for real all over the US just about every day doing his duties here in between his flights on his phone which is quite difficult to do!So thanks for giving him info he needs-that is what avsim is for :( !

No, no, none taken. Though I like my smiley face better because he's sticking out his tongue :( . Yours is the Ron Hamilton (Eaglesoft variety) special. I think he holds the record for using that emoticon.
