Ms Flight new photos

Yep, that's the pic alright. I remember the first time I saw it I almost thought it was a real photo and not from a sim. That's probably one of the best screen shots I have ever seen from any computer flight sim.If Flight is anywhere close to looking like that at night and they fix up the clouds, visability issues, and overall atmospheric look with volumetric cloud and better precip effects, I will be more than satisfied.BTW, no I am not from Campbell or San Jose. Its just an abbreviation of my last name with my initials, first, middle and last. Good guess though, someone else once asked me that either here or on another FS forum.
nice pic, except the sky is much too dark in my opinion. :(

Are those cloud shadows on the other side of the valley?
Unlikely: One of the edges of the dark green area hogs the edge of the cliff suggesting it's a forest. The Flight image does look stunning though!Cheers,- jahman.

I just checked out the screenshots for Flight and immediately recognized the location. I took pictures flying (in real life) of the same place a few years ago. It's a famous location where Jurassic Park was filmed, I believe.

How did you ever find that location?
All 6 shots are from the Hawaiian Islands.

I am an avid globetrotter with my trusty Lufthansa B777F, Polar Air Cargo B744F, and Atlas Air B748F.

Can you post them larger? I'd like to use them as a background to my 1920 x 1200 main simming monitor :-)Cheers,- jahman.

FSX is the worst simulator Microsoft has ever made
I guess you missed all the versions from FS5 to FS2002?

Having just compared half the screenshots with screenshots made in FSX, the graphics are indeed a major upgrade. It makes FSX look pale in comparison, just as I never could go back flying VFR in FS2004 after running FSX for the first time. The use of reflection in the rivers are awful though. Looks very unrealistic. Let's hope Flight has increased water- and landclass resolution. In FSX it is almost impossible to use landclass for accurate placement of small villages and towns.

The bloom you are talking about is most likely just the weather. Going by this, the weather engine must have had a nice upgrade! :(
I definitely hope that the weather engine will see a nice upgrade! But notice that in some shots the cloud(s) closest to the camera are extremely bright. It's exactly like the effect that the ENB bloom does within FSX. Hopefully MS will keep the capability for the end-user to tweak settings.

I think it looks good. Imagine how it will look when we compare these shots taken about a month ago and the ones we will start getting in October or NovemberBig%20Grin.gif!

Anyone know the exact locations of Screenshots 1, 5, and 6? I have been looking around Hawaii in FSX and have not been able to find these locations.

Well, I have no clue for number 1, 2 or 4, so I'd much appreciate knowing those locations.I've tracked down loaction 5 and 6:5) Kalihiwai Bay, Princewille, Island of Kauai, Hawaii. (Looking West, South-West).6) Kawiakini - the highest summit on the central volcano on the Island of Kauai, Hawaii. (Looking East, North-East).
