January 3, 201115 yr It's called free publicity. Right, and depending on Tom Allensworth's opinion on publicity, he may consider that the same thing as advertising and not be terribly appreciative of me pimping my site without paying for it.
January 3, 201115 yr Very Interesting video... Thanks for posting. Interesting comment at around 07.15 where he says that he cannot find a game that can really stress it like a benchmarking/encoding program and that the benchmarks were not that much more than the i7-950 because a game could not push it more... I would love him to try FSX and see if that pushes it!!I cannot wait to see some FSX benchmarks at 5GHz..........
January 4, 201115 yr I would love him to try FSX and see if that pushes it!! Haha +1 The problem is FSX isn't very "benchmarkable" like other software out there at the moment. | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |
January 4, 201115 yr Read the ASRock review in Anandtech. Waiting for some reviews of the other big boys. On the ASRock they got 4.4 just by clicking a push-button OC in the BIOS, and I guess with some limited voltage tweaks got steady 4.6, but more seemed to have trouble in stress testing.scott s..

January 4, 201115 yr Do you think i5-2500k (3,3 GHz) will be a good choice for FSX? With the price tag of USD 216 (http://www.overclock3d.net/articles/cpu_mainboard/sandy_bridge_and_p67_prices_revealed/1) and the overclocking ability sounds good to me... V
January 4, 201115 yr Thanks, I'm not sure what Avsim's policy is on this sort of thing though, it might be considered advertising and that's not usually free.I personnaly don't see any problem as far as you don't promote commercial services or products or any competitor websites.Knowing that you are a very helpful and appreciated person here I don't think it should be an issue to allow your link.PM me if you wish so I could check that for you. - PC Hardware: AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D // Asus ROG Crosshair X870E HERO // 2x32Gb Corsair Dominator Titanium DDR5 6000MT/s CL30 // ASUS ROG Strix GeForce RTX 4090 OC Edition // 4Tb Corsair NVMe M.2 MP600 // Corsair 1600W PSU Samsung Odyssey Arc 55" curved 165 Hz monitor. - Simulator Hardware: VIRPIL Constellation Alpha Prime + VIRPIL VPC Universal Control Panel - #3 + MOZA AY210 Force Feedback Yoke + WINWING URSA MINOR 32 Throttle & PAC Metal + WINWING SKYWALKER Metal Rudder Pedals + WINWING Airbus FCU & EFIS + WINWING Boeing 3N PAP + WINWING MCDU-32 + WINWING PFP-4 + WINWING PFP 3-N + WINWING PFP-7.

January 5, 201115 yr Sooo... did ya get some numbers for us impatient folks? Not yet. Testing won't likely occur until this weekend or possibly later, my editor's out of town @ CES and I've got to get the go-ahead from him before running a story. I'll create a thread when it's time, but don't expect that for at least a week.

TechguyMaxC if you get the ok and have the time is it possible for you to include a heavy fps airport like jfk from fsdreamteam or something from aerosoft? for us heavy lovers the fsdreamteam airports have demos that last about 6mins in case you don't own any of them.
