It is a wonderful addon for FSX. It will only work with I7 machines using Nvidia cards 400 or better. Very simple to use. You load it up and enter your processor type and Vid card info and it will remove 20 to 30 percent of your frame rates and will lock out all of the known tweaks for fsx. It comes with a console so that you can redo the tweaking process and find new ways to recover the performance that you lost. Keep in mind that all previous tweaks are locked out forever. Once that is done then you get the .....ready for it.....wait....... Godrays!!....just like you wanted with FSX!!!!! Sorry could not help myself....this coming soon game is getting a bit out of hand. LOL I am am nearly 64 and don't even make reservations in resturants anymore....just in case....LOL I am just saying.....

I'm happy with FS Captain, so a new passengers/cargo simulator would really have to offer something outstanding.ORBX got into the GA game, so - taking the image itself as a clue - perhaps this might be a new jet(liner?) package? I'm hoping for some cloud shadows to be in the package. They were quite silent about any progress there since posting their screenshots some years ago.Man, that has to be the benchmark for a teasing advertisement and the focus on viral marketing. If it doesn't continue for months now, I'll like it. Otherwise, I'll put it in the box with all that other "something big is coming up" stuff. Also, the word "soon" seems to be the leading one in the flight sim industry when it comes to describe an unknown (even for the dev) release date.

Yeah, that cloud shadow teaser from way back when was interesting. That would make a lot of simmer's days if it were fully developed.One of the photoscenery devs - VERO - released a demo of cloud shadows late last year. Never heard more about that though. Pity. Btw, my bane of current marketing copy is the term "extreme." Reminds me of the drenchingly-overused "superstar" of the 70s, "mega [whatever]" in the 80s, and "virtual" and "2k/3k" in the 90s.So I live in dread of ever seeing an ad for "Virtual Mega ______ 3K Extreme - Superstar Edition!!!" :(

It's going to be Rex 3.0 for MS Flight. They are planning to be the fist add-on in the race.

I see that Tim is reading the topic as we speak and is probably getting a good laugh at all the guesses.I doubt its an a/c or the cloud shadows since those will probably come in a seperate update, but you never know.

i dont know what it could be but i can tell you that a scenery development company pulled my topic about Simair off of their forum when i mentioned this in their general information category. no explanation why but i know that they are very friendly with REX and so i didnt think i would be breaking any rules by posting it.

I've been looking at the original image with the jet above the SIMAIR and then the words..an extreme SIM AIRCRAFT AND PILOT experience. is what I'm guessing..I wonder if it could be in coop. with something with the new PMDG 73NGX ? now, I'm wondering if it will be a new type of ATC addon maybe? mmm, although I have to look at REX's past and they have done nothing but weather/environment type of stuff. It would seem odd to switch gears that much... so then maybe not.Actually wait, I think it is going to be a very intense update the the core weather engine in FSX, here is why, We all know and from reading real pilots post, etc that over the years one of the weakest things of FSX has allways been the weather eninge, we all want better weather and yes, there has been REX's wx engine as well as others, ASE, etc... but maybe they are going to really like rewrite it from the outside in. the wx generator will sit outside of FSX and then interact that way, like PMDG does with all there stuff, don't they?

Yeahm, I saw that you had posted this on the ORBX site and they pulled it for some reason, yet the post about Instant Scenery 2 still stands. It's hard to know which other products, besides ORBX products, you can post about and not have it deleted. Frankly, I was a little surprised they pulled your post since they (ORBX) are supporters of REX. Mayeb they just didn't want a bunch of posts were people start speculating about what the new product will be.

Mike, that surly is missing but it is not going to be a new product but a part of REX already, this is going to be something separate.

I don't think it is apart of the current REX - or at least I don't know. :( Maybe they are going to start making their own aircraft like PMDG, but they are calling it SimAir.
