well im glad its not just me hehe. It seems they (the guys at iFly) have been able to reproduce the FPS/Mouse issue and it sounds like they might have a fix. I wont link here but check out thier forum for the support topic. I posted some pics there too =)
I wasn't questioning your mouse issue (I saw the thread in the iFly forum now), I'm questioning this "subtle" 'all my PMDG stuff runs better' tone which doesn't match other descriptions so far and also doesn't represent my experience when loading iFly, MD11 or J41 one after another and watching the fps. Speaking of this one.
Even the J41 runs very very well, much better that the iFly and the J41 is one of the more demanding aircraft for FSX.
But, as said, systems may differ. :(

dont get me wrong I love the iFly and its staying in my hanger with all the other AC, they are a great development team and are really good with thier customers. The problem is FSX not the developers. I just wish there was away round it =)I will say no more now on the subject as Im happy its being looked at. If they cant fix it its not thier fault and I will live with it. I still have the FS9 version and its magnificent.

Despite what I said previously about skipping the iFLY and waiting for the PMDG, my curiosity had gotten the better of me and I decided to buy it, knowing that their is a 30 day refund option. I am for the most part impressed with this NG, especially for a first time payware product from a newcomer. But I have some reservations, here's a list of some from 2 flights between KPHL and KATL:1. The VC click spots are hard to use, and not very intuitive. I suppose I just need to get used to it, but I much prefer the VC button interaction in the MD-11, which includes helpful cursors and precise click spots. In the iFLY, its hard to gauge where to put your cursor to interact with the buttons.2. Not sure if its my joystick or not, but in my two identical flights, I am constantly losing LNAV and heading select, and when this happens the CWS system kicks in. But even then it's difficult to regain control manually via CWS, and even when I eventually get back LNAV, it just keeps disconnecting. I have had no joystick "noise" problems with all my PMDG or Level D products, but now I am fighting to keep LNAV under control. I fear stepping away from the simulation, two times so far when lateral guidance was lost the a/c banked out of control and dropped out of the sky. This is very disappointing to see. Even during a CAT I approach, the autopilot lost the glideslope/localizer guidance and I had to revert to manual control. VNAV works as advertised, but lateral modes are a tossup, at least on my system. 3. When I use spoilers during descent, when I close them the rumbling sound they make is still there, even though I know for certain they are in fact closed.I'll see what others have to say on IFLY's support forum, but so far I am the only one to have these issues.
Agreed. The clickspots need some work as well. Very difficult to use especially with EZdok.

Yeah, I think that setting up a 'wishes and suggestions' thread over there will be a good idea then.Lets wait for some more or less calmer days though since the initial issues should come first and they are taking care of every current thing it seems. Really looks like great support so far. Those VC clickpoints are driving me nuts. I wanted to start the left engine but, from the Captain's view, the clickspot for the starter switch "GRD" is very, very close to the "OFF" one from the APU. So I had it more than once now that my electrics were on the APU (since the right engine just came up) and I've accidentally turned her off while wanting to start the left engine.Yes, you are right, one can get used to such things (this was just one example though), but since a nice left click/right click or mousewheel philosophy would avoid them without the need to train on the old school method, I may well request such a philosophy change. The workaround is to use the Overhead 2D panel or using EZCA to get closer to those switches. As much as I really like the rest of this bird, the VC clickspots are a case of trouble in my humble eyes. The two and more position switches are the culprit there, the on/off position ones are mostly fine. The fps are still good since going around EHAM with NL2000 drives other birds into very low ranges here while Lady iFly offers a smooth impression. What a beauty.737lg.th.jpgThat new joystick sensitivity actually helped, guys. Just a notch more of that slider and the AP is happy with my control setup while still offering nice hand flying experiences. That standby altimeter needle is a bit choppy when moving. Is that on my system only?

I prefer to have left mouse button to move a switch down and right mouse button to move the switch up. This also works for the Speed/Heading/Alt selectors and its how 90% of myt addon aircraft work. I would love to see this change in iFly. I am more often asking my copilot (Fs2Crew Voice) to set the SPD/HDG/ALT because he does not fumble about to 5 mins looking for the clickspot.Im going to try and bind the buttons that are troublesome to my Joystick since I have plenty of spare switches on my WH stick =)

Yes, kind of a workaround solution, but reasonable of course. As said, when the iFly forums get a bit calmer, a 'wishes' thread may come up.

I agree with the sensitivity of the click points. I did the same thing with the APU. That right now seems to be the biggest problem. EZCA/DOK exasperates the problem with it's simulated turbulent motion, making it necessary to disengaged it in flight, when I'm making adjustments, such as increasing altitude on the MCP. With other models, unless said turbulence was severe, I could usually still work the controls, without disengaging EZDOK, not so with this model.

Thanks

They could do some popups for the MCP to avoid a complete rework of the clickspots in the VC. A smaller one for the Overhead would be nice too and then maybe an option to completely exclude the full 2D panel popup for Captain and FO. Maybe this also frees up resources.I've tried some of this by just editing the panel.cfg, but then experienced the problem that the MCP popup (which was a charm of clickspot operation) caused the VC displays to turn black. That's by design of course since I've only extracted it from the full 2D panel. So I think that a suitable solution to this isn't that tricky and maybe can be added in the iFly Config tool as a "VC only" option with those mentioned smaller popups. The same would go the other way around for the 2D only flying users of course.

This is a bit confusing - Can someone 'merge' the two iFly threads?I've spent all day flying with this and, so far, have about the same conclutions as most... A great addon, but still needs a bit of work. Thankfully, I don't seem to have the fps issue (and not having an i7, it's just as well).Like many, I'm having SERIOUS grief with those darn click spots in the VC - they're baaaad! On the whole, I really like it and think it's good value for money too.I have several of the Saitek Pro-Panels, including the autopilot. To a degree, they work with this addon. I'm sure the 'other' NG won't, due to their special coding. Also, because the navdata is the same format as PMDG, after a little tweaking, the iFly FMC works well with Kai Tak from Fly Tampa. For me that's great news.

Windows 10 (x64) - X-Plane 11 - M/B: Asus ROG Maximus IX Hero - CPU: i7 7700k (@5.0GHz) - RAM: 32Gb Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 @ 3200MHz - Video: GTX1080ti - Cooling: Custom water loop (EK 140 Revo D5 pump/res combo, EK EVO CPU block, EK XE360 Rad)

Before this NG was launched, lately I've done most of my tube flying in the Quality Wings 757. I've noticed a HUGE difference in both power and performance between this new 737NG and the 757...The 757 is much faster to accelerate and also seems tighter in turns. Is this true to life, or is it just discrepancies in the flight models? The iFly NG 'FEELS' much heavier than the 757.Thanks

Unfortunately the other one has drifted off the iFly topic, so two threads may not be a bad thing in this case.Agree on the clickspots, they are hard to get used to. Other than that a great sim - lots of depth and good performance. Loving it.

I totally agree. In my case over 99% of the heading knob moves the wing leveler knob and less than 1% of the knob (and some space outside) turns the heading. Even when I use the center button it moves the wing leveler and not the heading. Most of the speed knob is dedicated to the minus symbol. I have a large monitor set at 2560x1600 and that could be the problem but I doubt it. I haven't seen any complaints about this on the iFly forum and tried to post one but accidently deleted my long post so will wait until I can calm down a little. Otherwise, I am really enjoying this aircraft.Best regards,Jim

The 757 is well known for being very fast and is in fact very maneuverable for an airliner. I actually saw a pre-delivery BA 757 being thrown about like a fighter at an airshow once. It took off from EGCC and did the display at the airshow at EGCD, and it was one of the best displays I've ever seen any aircraft do because it was so unusual to see an airliner doing that. I thought the pilot was going to try a stall turn in it at one point, and he came pretty close to doing so, amazing stuff, and it had twelve people on board the thing at the time too apparently!Al

Hmm, not sure. My father in law who has many years of flying experience, including much of the Boeing line says that the 757 feels like a truck compared to the Cadillac-like nature of the 767, but it is very powerful.
