May 9, 201115 yr Coming from a guy who has spent years around the NG, and many many hours in the flightdeck, the sounds tottally blow me away! However I was surprised that you cant hear the nose gear hitting the scrubbers upon retraction, thats typically quite loud and obvious, but I really cant complain, Im in awe here gents. Whats amazing to me is that watching this simple departure, Its great knowing that there is so much more going on with the aircraft in terms of how the systems were developed that we dont even see, or notice. No two departures will be the same, each for the first time will truly be different depending on conditions, and all the imaginable varibles. Things like duct pressures, systems pressures, etc etc The payload page is of interest to me being a NG weight and balance guy in the real world, that looks great as well :( Neat to see the seat zones modeled, as this is what effects weight and balance the most, second being fuel of course. May 9, 201115 yr Ok people. Enjoy the party that has just started. Unfortuatelly I'll have to leave on the beginning of it because, you know, tomorrow is Monday and duty calls. I have to wake up early tomorrow because of school. I think I won't be able to sleep tonight anyway. Not that someone cares. Thanks PMDG, again, for the great update everyone was waiting for. Tomorrow I'll keep watching the forum from AVSim Mobile. Matheus Mafra
May 9, 201115 yr Commercial Member What does the "Simulation" page in the options do?Some of the things in it:IRS alignment timePause at T/DSync Captain and FO altimetersFO Callouts On/OffStuff like that that's kinda more related to the simulation itself and not to a specific system of the airplane. The Displays and Equipment menus have all the actual systems related options, including a couple really neat ones that have never been simulated before to this level. FS Actions menu is an expanded version of the one that was in the MD-11, you have pushback and doors and stuff like that, but we now have a full on fuel and payload manager built right into the FMC, no need to even touch a menu - in fact the NGX has no menus or config managers, you never leave the simulation. Virtually all the options except for the ones that affect the flight model characteristics in ways we can't change in real time (winglets being the main one), can be changed in real time, no need to restart the sim or run an external app. Ryan MaziarzFor fastest support, please submit a ticket at http://support.precisionmanuals.com
May 9, 201115 yr O...m...g.@5:25 - listen to those engines purr.Unfreakingbelievable sound. It puts TSS to shame (and TSS is a fantastic company). You guys took immersion to a whole new level. And you were right, this vid was worth the wait. AJ Pongress

May 9, 201115 yr Actually beyond words...wow.By the way, that last post of mine was NOT sarcastic...I really think people should stop caring about 2D(except for the overhead and FMS)
May 9, 201115 yr This video is insane. Without the PMDG banners, you might be able to get away with calling this a real-life 737 video. I especially liked the PMDG logo on the panel just above the HGS panel on the center pedestal. Jason Fiset jasonf on ts3.digitalthemepark.com @jfiset
May 9, 201115 yr Wow. Simply fantastic. The HGS and lights conflict didn't bother me. If you've done to a reasonable degree what you can, I'd just leave it. Not that my opinion matters. Again, thank you so much for the video. Really amazing. I'm pretty sure I heard trim sounds near the end right? Ethan Rayhorn My Office: (Taken at FL410)

I'm pretty sure I heard trim sounds near the end right?Trim sounds are still being worked on - we're trying to make the most realistic implementation of trim sound that's been done. Different sounds depending on the speed/length of the trim motions... more complicated than you'd think to get it to work right. The NG actually has multiple trim rates depending on airspeed, flaps up/down etc as well as how long you hold the paddle switch on the yoke down - trying to get that all in there. May 9, 201115 yr Actually beyond words...wow.By the way, that last post of mine was NOT sarcastic...I really think people should stop caring about 2D(except for the overhead and FMS)Some of us use multiple monitors, with the VC on the top monitor, and the 2d panels on the bottom monitor. That way you can zoom to 1.00 in the VC, and still see your engine instruments roll up on takeoff, etc on the bottom monitor. SO, keep the 2d panels coming!-Mark Hager __________________________ Mark Hager

Really amazing how far you are going. Thats why PMDG is the best of the best. Quite honestly, I'm utterly speechless. Thanks for all of the long hours of work going into this. Really its more than just a fs addon, it's a gift to the community because there is really nothing else out there that is remotely close to this. PS. iFly is a fine company, but I really hope that some of their potential customers will see this and realize the depth that is only offered with PMDG. PMDG certainly deserves the recognition for their 1st tine achievements with this plane. Ethan Rayhorn My Office: (Taken at FL410)
