Brilliant.

They say a picture is worth a thousand words, take those pictures and multiply by 30 multiplied by 496 seconds, and the worth is now priceless! Thanks so much for the video, it helps us see for ourselves what we can expect to see in action, and has probably answered thousands of questions for the development team in the process. Now we see evidence of the night lighting, the HUD, sounds and the effect of the volumetric landing lights on the sim environment. Simply breathtaking, I cannot wait to see the next forum update!

Longer than 6 months lol... you haven't seen everything yet either. tongue.gif
Looks so nice PMDG! Which system is used for this demo departure? Looks really FPS friendly!
RSR filmed it and it's an i7 965 @ 3.2GHz, 4GB DDR3, GTX 460, and a RevoDrive SSD. Not overclocked.

Wow, the detail is incredible. First demo with the sound, too. It looks like the NGX is going to enter BETA soon, and then release!Applause.gif

Thanks,

Ryan, one quick question please. Are the switches actioned left-right clicking like the MD-11 or can they also be flipped by dragging them up or down? just curious as to what posibilities will I have with my touchscreen. Asked this long time ago and you said you would consider it, so I thought it wouldn't hurt to ask :)

The lights, the sounds! It's atmospheric! I feel I could reach out and touch the overhead knobs and switches. This thing has some personality like a Boeing should! I also appreciate the realistic grind of the CFMs and the believable "tick" of the switches. I'm extremely excited. Must be close! :(

Coming from a guy who has spent years around the NG, and many many hours in the flightdeck, the sounds tottally blow me away! However I was surprised that you cant hear the nose gear hitting the scrubbers upon retraction, thats typically quite loud and obvious, but I really cant complain, Im in awe here gents. Whats amazing to me is that watching this simple departure, Its great knowing that there is so much more going on with the aircraft in terms of how the systems were developed that we dont even see, or notice. No two departures will be the same, each for the first time will truly be different depending on conditions, and all the imaginable varibles. Things like duct pressures, systems pressures, etc etc The payload page is of interest to me being a NG weight and balance guy in the real world, that looks great as well :( Neat to see the seat zones modeled, as this is what effects weight and balance the most, second being fuel of course.
Shane,Dont worry, thats what I am working on this morning! We still have around another 50 sounds left to add to the sim but we are moving really swiftly now to wrap up the all the sounds. :)Thanks,

That's probably not going to make the initial release unfortunately - I will ask about it for one of the service packs though.
