June 6, 201114 yr I understand that the user will be able to manipulate ramp activities, doors, and external connections to their aircraft through the FMC. However, the ramp manager on the JS41 looks so intuitive that i couldn't help but ask if this will be available in addition to the FMC interface for thisAlso, can load be managed via a load manager as well? or is the FMC the singular means of getting both these taks done? June 6, 201114 yr I personally would like a visual aid when dealing with the ramp manager, if it's through the FMC.And perhaps this and all the PMDG Menus accessible via the FMC will be thoroughly documented for our ease of use. Erik L.
June 6, 201114 yr Commercial Member There will be no ramp manager like the J41. However, the menu system the FMC is fairly intuitive (you'll be getting a glimpse of this soon). Vin Scimone Precision Manuals Development Group www.precisionmanuals.com
June 6, 201114 yr In lieu of "soon" could one of the admins censor this word to "s***"? I'd hate for more folks to start blowing gaskets.... (I kid, I kid,):(:(:( Buddy Morgan Specs removed by Admin. See AVSIM Signature policy in Hangar Chat
June 6, 201114 yr To be honest I kinda don't like the idea of doing those things through the fmc. I prefer the menu like the other products Joe Barton
June 6, 201114 yr Let's wait the preview of the FMC menus before rushing into conclusions. It's a completely new feature in FS addons, so we can't just give opinions before getting to know what is that about. Personally, I'm very excited about this new feature. Matheus Mafra
June 6, 201114 yr Going through the menu breaks a lot of things like ultimate traffic, synching with some weather programs, etc.

June 6, 201114 yr Commercial Member Going through the menu breaks a lot of things like ultimate traffic, synching with some weather programs, etc.Not with our NGX, I have loaded fuel, set up the pax/cargo amounts and a whole enchillada of things through the FMC without breaking Ultimate Traffic and weather programs. I have UT2 and ASE, both do not break when one loads through the FMC. Only when you load through the FSX menu, those plug-ins will break and reload. June 7, 201114 yr It is very intuitive, no one is going to have issues with this, trust me.It looks so confusing Joe Barton
June 7, 201114 yr It looks so confusingI really don't see how you could say that. It looks very straightfoward and for once I don't have to worry about forgetting to do something in the load menu and UT2 has to reload... or worse, fsx crashing. At first thought it seems as if it would be confusing, but based off of the last video and the other one that showed FMC options, PMDG has really made it seem super easy and as they said "on the fly." I truly don't see any easier method (except I guess if you could say what you wanted and it would change )Regards Best regards, happy flying, Wallace
June 7, 201114 yr Moderator It looks so confusingThis comming from a kid who wants to be a 747 pilot in real life :( Your going to face a lot more confusing things that the NGX FMC options, so you best start getting used to confusing things cause its only gonna get worse.Sean Campbell Avsim Board of Directors | Avsim Forums Moderator
