Then why even tell us anything? All it does it stir the pot when it doesn't happen.

The pot would be stirring if they hadn't told us anything...

Not telling us anything at all will stir the pot even more, as we have seen in the past.

Only because we're used to getting our way.You don't see the frenzy you see here around the leveld 757 development. It's not even close.

I haven't heard about "wide beta" before. I knew alpha then beta but not "wide beta" Would it mean "public beta" or if you prefer aircraft release.......?????

Do you provide insurance for spewed coffee? If not, you should have a disclaimer with each post. Seriously, thanks for posting. I love MP, and that was the funniest thing I've seen in a long while. Ha, made my day, no kidding! Still chuckling.

No, "wide beta" and "public beta" are not the same.

Perhaps they should call it "Charlie Testing", in that they hand it it to a bunch of charlies like me, then we go out and try to break it. :(

So all-in-all the final pieces are in place and very little remains to be accomplished. We are currently looking at final testing to commence on Monday, next (current plan as of today) and while we are not predicting an end-date to final testing, I do not anticipate the process taking very long. Why? The Tech Team we have assembled has given this airplane such an incredibly thorough workout that very little remains to be done!
I'd like to point out at no time did it say the final testing WOULD commence on Monday...rather, they were aiming for it.

We switched to using two different beta teams for this product - the earlier beta that's been going on is comprised of our tech team - people who actually fly or work on the real NG. The wide beta is our normal team of testers including average simmers.

How long does the average "Wide Beta" proccess take?

if you want someone to break your aircraft give it to me, everything I touch breaks. I tried to make a DIY cabinet once and it collapsed on it own. :( Oh yes I can break anything, unless its made of Diamond
