Wide Beta tomorrow ?

Featured Replies

I'm really looking forward to this plane. It's gonna be me and that HUD system for many hours! On a side note, I'm not sure if anyone follows MMORPGs, but when a new one is announced, the developent team usually keep the release date and details pretty well bottled up. The Star Wars game for example has a release date of anywhere between now and January. It has been in development for 4 or so years. Before some people get "snarky", please remember to be patient. There are hardly any dev teams that will give a hard release date these days.

How long does the average "Wide Beta" proccess take?
Since it is a new process for PMDG, I'm not sure they really know. Robert and Ryan have said "shouldn't be long," but they lack a crystal ball, so nobody really knows. Here's a tip, try asking for the "skinny" Beta - it may not take as long. ;-)

True Cory, the plane will be available when the developers feel its ready. Sadly some trolls on this forum have nothing else to do but harass and annoy everyone else. At the end of the day, its just a piece of software, something that wont save your life if you have a heart attack.I am looking forward to it as much as the next guy, but some of the attitude given by members on this forum has been disgusting.

Why is everybody so hyped about this wide beta? Its not a public beta so you don't get to try the ngx.Just wait for the release people in a few months it will definitely be available.

I think we are all very excited because it is just another big leap for the PMDG team in the process of development of the NGX. Also, once wide beta has it, we will begin to hear about performance and other neat things. Plus the NDA will be lifted (at some point) and they can release their own pictures and descriptions of the planeAnd plus, we all like being excited for the sake of being excited. Sure, it's not release, but it's damn fun to think about the fact that they are closer to releasing once it hits wide beta than before hand

Best regards, happy flying,

Wallace

Yeah when they lift the NDA we will hear some experiences forgot about that. But allot off people are so impatient here. Use this forum to discuss 737 systems or flying techniques it would make this board so much more fun.

They should skip the wide beta and just release it.

Sure...then you'd be back on here complaining if a bug got through untested...

You're right; the net diff, especially if you consider PMDG's acknowledgement that a SP will be inevitable, will likely be nil.

I would not come back and complain. as long as I could keep the plane. :)
