just for lols I looked in our (so called) PC World. Thier top of the range PC is £1000 and consists of an I7 860 with a graphics card that is sub 500mb video memory. A quick look showed me a 350W power supply and budget 1066 ram. How these places even manage to sell anything is beyond me. And they wonder why people shop elswhere/online.

Yes, overclocking in the US wrecks processors, the only place where it works is the South Pole. :(
... LoL

This is worse than watching people argue about their computers on the Steam forums. I never expected to see this kind of immaturity on this forum. All of you should go to the "Little Boys Room" and measure your "equipment" the winner gets ten cents.

Hahaha yeah so would your last sentence qualify as immature. Apparently not as that is exactly what you said others were!?!?^ +1
I know a lot about f**king coumpters. The coumpter is blazing fast. I have the settings in flight simulator very high. Please stop saying it is slow since it is not slow.
This is the kind of behaveure that gets threads locked. Definately not appropriate in a forum of this level.Shame%20On%20You.gif

Holy crap you're entertaining SWA737 lol.Yeah do what Tabs said mate. If you wanna save even more don't get a SSD (I personally don't like them they aren't reliable).Dunno about Corsair cases I'm a Coolmaster man myself, the HAF series is great. You can up your PC knowledge easily just by googling everything, great guides out there.Don't buy pre built junk from HP / DELL way to expensive for what you get and not very upgrade friendly. Have fun seeya around.Pete Walsh.

@Ian (Snow),I just built the machine in my signature about three weeks ago and I am VERY satisfied. My FPS are very good with REX, UT2, and most sliders pretty much maxed out. I definitely recommend a 2500K or 2600K. Make sure to get the K so you can overclock. And make sure you get an aftermarket cooler...the stock Intel one sucks. With my CM Hyper 212+, my temps barely hit 70-75 with Prime95 torture test for hours. Rock steady at 4.6GHz which gives great FSX performance. And, the SSD is great, gives awesome Windows 7 load times; I'm talking BIOS POST to log on screen about 10-15 seconds. FSX load times are great and textures load quickly. I also recommend NewEgg. They really can't beat if your looking for one place to buy all your hardware. And if you are patient, they have a lot of specials and mail-in rebates. All in it, I just about hit $1400 and that is the total package. $20 of that is my DVD burner which isn't in my sig...just a P.O.S. good enough to load FSX off the disks :). And that doesn't count the ~$70 or so in MIR's I've got coming. Of course, I already had a mouse and keyboard but that stuff is real cheap. Adam

Hahahaha brilliant. I hope the ambulance drives faster than your computer. I heard it was slow.

I challenge you then, get FRAPS and then record a flight with a PAYWARE airliner going into or taking off from a MAJOR PAYWARE airport.. upload to youtube for all of us to see. We'll see who has the fast computer then.Just for kicks, here are some of my videos. With "new" hardware, 2500k and gtx570

This is with OLD, outdated hardware by today;s standards.. i7-920 and HD4890 (which by your comments would make this older than your blazing fast computer)

Lets a assume for the moment that you are incapable of opening a can of sardines without risk of grievious bodily harm and so do not want to risk building your own PC.
LOL...But seriously, dont get a Dell/HP. If you're asking here than it's clear you're serious about having a good PC for FSX. Take Ryan's advice. I am planning a pretty huge build in the coming months myself and (admittedly) it will be the first time I deviate from Dell, but all the hassles I've had with the current Dell (which was $3200 dollars about 4 years ago) have left me positive about building my own this time.
