interesting, i wonder if my curiosity will push me to get this, just to find out how good it is. I have the iFly so dont necessarily need another.

Well not to put Ifly down (I have the IFly and its very good) but this is like nothing thats ever been made for a flightsim before. If you want some of the newer videos that Angle of attack made you will soon see what I mean. Its simply stunning.[/url]http://www.flyaoamedia.com/aoa/nicks-737ngx-afdsegpws-impressions/I think the ifly is awsome for FS9 and beats all others except maybe the LevelD767, but in FSX the PMDG will outpace any other addon as an airliner.

http://forum.avsim.n...1-soon-defined/Looking forward to it. It will be interesting to see how well the most extensively hyped FSX release ever lives up to all the promises :(
I have just watched this 737ngx and it really looks like the pmdg737 will sell big time and it will be more less the end of the ifly. I will get it the day it's released. It looks great.

I think price and system specs will play a part on how well it sells

The video looks very nice, but this is just the cockpit.Until it is released,we do not know how it will impact frame rateson medium to high end rigs. They will probably have a normal share of bugs.As for comments that it will be the end of IFLY,don't bet on it.I have IFLY and their forum support is very very good.Ron

Most likely the price point will be higher and with fewer models compared to the iFly, so there should be a market for both.I read something about PMDG announcing pricing Tuesday, probably by then we will know what models are included.

I have ifly too and I know they have good support but it is probably the only advantage ifly will have over pmdg.

I think only time will tell.But.If what I see in the vid is anything to go by...

I think you highly underestimate the iFly team and their capabilities.

Not sure about that. But I 'm sure I have the ifly plane and I'm sure have seen the video and if the vid is anything to go by..

As you said, time will tell.

Finally !! It will be great to get some decent opinions on it at last rather than just hype .. ..G

Great to hear, I waited long for this announcement. Congratulations, PMDG! As soon as there'll be an SP1 for the NGX, the plane will nicely complement my PMDG collection. In the meantime, if I need a 737NG and if my time permits, I take my iFly 737 out of the hangar...So many great planes, so little time...Edit: I reconsidered and have come to the conclusion that I probably cannot wait for SP1 to appear, so I'll be an "early adopter" as many of you, too...

The goodies are hardly out of the bag, but here we go with the Doomsday Merchants wondering if it will live up to the hype. All I can say is if the evidence of the two videos which over 20k PMDG Forum members have either seen or commented on,is 'hype', then I suggest don't bother with this product.

ROFL - how on earth does that qualify anyone as a "doomsday merchant" ?? This has got to be the most hyped release in the history of FSX, the fact that a lot of people have watched the video is just that.... If it flies and performs as well as it looks then I am sure it will be fantastic...As for whether I bother with it or not, that will depend on what I read from people that actually have the product, rather than those sitting drooling at the videos.G
