PMDG 737NGX Pricing and Availability

My guess is that the plane has been long ready. They're working on something else, like protecting what's theirs most probably... Just another guess :(

They have to design the installer, get all the documentation ready and fix any bugs if any were found after the code freeze, so I suspect we wont see the NGX until the 4th. (hope i'm wrong!)

Oh i do love reading the forum just before a product is released. Everyone goes a bit potty and conspiracy theories and speculation are rife. Great fun :)

I think everything is completed. That includes the documentation and the installer. My guess is that right now everybody at PMDG is just torturing the NGX to death to find any last minute bugs, guys are reading the manual like crazy to find any typos that might have got through... If they don't find anything major (which in PMDG's case might mean that someone forgot to add a rivet inside the right landing gear arch - we love your attention to detail, guys) they most likely already have a version ready for release, just like the one we're going to get.

@CristiYou're not the only nor first one havings these thoughts and this is also the reason I'm sure PMDG had lost some customers myself included but it's hard not coming back in the end of the day because regardless what you think about PMDG's attitude towards their customers in this respect it's hard not to say impossible to find other products in the same league although some other companies are getting closer and closer and with support forums that are a lot more "friendly" and where you as a customer is treated in a much more respectful way.The day we have a company that produces products of PMDG quality but with the same attitude you find with some other well known 737 addon makers for example we will have a truly winning concept!

I keep on F-5ing haha! But will take a break for now! Will watch once upon a time in America, 4 hours of not checking haha! Martijn D

its been posted before if u can run the md-11 and the js4100 on ur machine ok than iam sure there be no troubles running the ngx
man, dont make confusion between the MD11 and J4100. the J4100 is a lot heavier then MD11 on performance. if the NGX is heavy like the J4100 ill raccomand it to all the ppl with i7 system ONLY. if it will be like the MD11 then i raccomand it to everybody that have also a top hi end system 775 like me coz i run the md11 really good. reading forums and forums nobody from beta tester and pmdg team still have answered how the ngx runs comprared to the md-11. if i dont see a "clear" answer the day before the release means theres something wrong/strange in my opinion. a beta tester out there with a 775 top hi end system can say clearly how the performance are compared to the md11 or we need to know it the 5th august? thx in advancedDavide Lee

Davide, I believe the beta team were not allowed to say anything about FPS performance, so hence why they didn't. PMDG have said if you can run the MD11 then you can run the NGX and it should be a little better on FPS due to the new ways of modelling.

I now have a wonderful 2500k at 5.1GHz, but even when I had a C2Q (775) I could run the J41 decently. You just have to tweak your settings, etc....but it certainly is possible to run the J41 on a 775 system.

One actually has, I can't remember who it was, but it was one of the pmdg dev ... he said within 95% of the md11

Ethan, my system is tweaked perfectly. for example with venetubo settings + couple of personal setting i reach a plus of 15fps on big airports. when i talk about performance the tests must be done on big airports and not on airfields or small airports

I understand completely. I had a Q6700 that I OC'd, and I got 22fps with the J41 at FSDT DFW with 50% UT2 traffic. ______________ With my 2500k build, now I can have the J41 at FSDT DFW with 100% UT2 traffic and get 40fps. Life is Good. (I'm not sure if its because my FSX runs seamlessly now, or if its because I have LG appliances.) tongue.png
