Hi Bob :)

Glad you like it.

I'm still working on it.

Trying to make a chrome look on the lower part of the plane.

Not sure if i like it just jet.

It's coming along very nicely. Sure looking forward to it. Maybe some of the painting guru's around here can help with the chrome look.

The "chrome" look as been discussed more times than I can count. It's literally not possible with the NGX. All we can do is paint colored areas to resemble what the chrome/bare metal finish would look like at a fixed point. One technique (especially for a bottom chrome only) would be to duplicate your "shadow" layer in the paintkit. You can adjust he "layer properties" for opaqueness so you just don't get double the shadow. That's one technique. There is not simple solution.

Jonas has done a great job based on his screen shots so far.

I've been tied up all weekend on other non-FSX projects. I was hoping to finish the Cathay Pacific livery. The top warpage is challenging and I'm still working on it. Hopefully i can get that one finished in the next few days.

That's interesting Steve, I had no idea. Having no painting skills at all I can certainly understand the difficulty. It all looks difficult to me.

I agree, the job Jonas has done is fantastic and looks ready to go out the door to me. But again, I'm no painter. But I am very thankful for all the work you guys put into this to provide us with these fantastic liveries.

Jonas:

If you need I can send files to the chrome. I've done it for several repaints.

Send me an email or a PM

I would love to have a 737-800 for this airline:

I whole heartedly agree! Would be awesome.

Thanks Steve, Bob and Marcelo :)

What i have done is to make a chrome look from a large landscape picture, with some gaussian blur and a glass distord effect.

Then make it fit the fuselage and have the opacity at around 75%

And then make it so the bottom of the fusalage in only reflecting the "ground".

I sent the file by mail.

I would not be so sure about the "great" part. But yeah, I have a couple things I would like to do :)

Welcome back Peter!

I've been just buried with work in the evenings and haven't had the time to finish the Cathay Pacific -800. I'm hoping to get it done by the end of the week.

You're welcome to pick up some of the requests...lol.

For those of you sending me requests...I am honored and appreciate the requests, but I'm going to slow down for a little bit and not crank them out like I have been. I do have a few I am working on, but cannot guarantee when I'll get them done. Hopefully I've have more free time later in the month.
