try this http://www.venetubo.com/fsx.html You can remove autogen too, it was best tweak for me
This is purely my own opinion, turn off the autogen completey, it's naff when your up in the air you cannot see trees and the buildings in fsx are placed so wrongly... just a thought sad.png

This thing has the best performance out of an airliner in FSX. Ever. For me at least. I'm thrilled. Plus this thing has class. Not trying to brag, I just think it should be duly noted mileage may vary. Good night everyone.

Well, if you don't have overclocked i7 or something like that, this is one of the best tweaks. And for me is more important to fly, visual aspect of simulator is on the second place. Anyway, fsx does not look bad without autogen.

I am getting amazing fps considering the ridiculous quality. I have all of the settings in the scenery tab maxed out (water, autogen, etc.), 100% ga and airline world of ai traffic, max clouds, etc. (the only things not checked are light bloom, aircraft and airport traffic cast shadows, and the other light optionclose to light bloom). I loaded up FSX at fsdream kfll, runway 9L (whch has a very unoptimized ship I think it is and really eats the frames. Still throughout the takeoff, I was getting around 20-24 frames. Which is amazing in my opinion for the quality of this plane, and my settings ( oh yeah, I also use nvidia driver inspector and use the 8xsq options Ryan posted). So if you have a weaker computer, you should be able to run just fine (obviously not with the same settings I had).

Quite amazing FPS even on my lame Toshiba laptop... I got sustained FPS around my external limit of 30 for most of the tutorial flight. The stutters I did get were nothing I can't solve with a fresh OS install. Amazing aircraft... you've outdone yourselves, PMDG!

Does anyone know how or where I can find how to install the repaints for this sweet thing?
The livery manager installs with the aircraft. It's probably found under your programs menu in Windows.

Just download the repaint, extract the file (.ptp), navigate to it Using the livery manager, and click add or install can't remember.

Certainly seems to at least equal FPS to the 744, from my short couple of circuits so far. Considering I'm happy with how the queen performs, this is a massive bonus given the incomparable detail between the two!

It would be nice if someone could share the most important/s graphic setting to tweak within NGX to gain few fps. Thx

That's all covered in the manuals. Probably the biggest gain would come from turning the FO DU's to off.

Thanks for the suggestion. How many fps does it reduce ? I still have to buy it but there are troubles as you see.

Hey guys I'm trying to install the External FPS limiter but I'm running into problems, I can't install it. Can someone direct me to a place where I can get help or can someone explain what do I have to do? Thanks

I don't know what it'll do for performance on your machine. I'm leaving everyhting running at full pelt as there are no performance issues for me. Best bet it to wait until you can get your hands on it and try yourself. Don't worry though, it''s certainly not the hardest addon on in terms of performance.
