I don't know the PMDG dev schedule but this is a very small thing. Like miniscule.If this VERY minor "fix" stops the PMDG team from developing another aircraft... or squashing a few bugs not all people have on the 737... or updating the 747... or getting some rest, then I say LEAVE IT.

Cockpit is amazing. Compare this to the iFly is well, not a comparison. Just look at the backup compass just under the overhead. The iFly looks like its straight from a Default... Very poor.

If you look at the photo link posted by FSMP on post 9, it appears that the VNAV button is blanked. Tried enlarging photo but couldn't find it anywhere else on the MCP. Am just curious as to why that is.

I think you'll find the panels are designed. Finished. Let's focus on important things like how the plane flies.

There's no pic linked in post #9. The pic posted by Dennis is probably a Southwest a/c. They ordered their -700s without the option. EDIT: Obviously it is a Southwest bird. Lol. In the title.

Several operators don't fit an autothrottle systems to their 737's, so as a result VNAV is inoperative. Southwest is I think the only one which springs to mind at the moment.

Exactly. I heard they've activated the systems recently. Can't remember who told me that tidbit.

I find that little hole above the captain a more serious issue although i can live with it if i don't keep staring at it. Pressurization is so nicely simulated that i almost start to think it's a leak :) What am i talking about? When sitting in the FO's seat looking left above the captain on the edge of the overhead, can see the blue sky there.

+1. It's there... The frame below the DUs is definitely bigger in the real thing.The original poster got a point. I'm really surprised they kinda missed that. This VC is SOOOOO GREAT.Sorry Vin (or Jason?) your work STILL is one of a kind to date but it's there. Is it important? Not that much... but it's there...

My feeling is that the PMDG 737-NGX is the complete and total pinnacle of the state of the art. PMDG has done a wonderful job producing this masterpiece. But it is not just PMDG's airplane. It's all of ours as well. In a way, we are an integral part of PMDG's development of the NGX. We have already identified several major problems and in some cases found the solutions. So if the cockpit isn't perfect and it bothers us, you can be sure eventually it will bother PMDG. Obviously, at this point, it's not high on the list, but if you've been paying attention to the work that the guys in Reno have done this past week, you know it won't be long till all the major problems will be ironed out, and THEN it will be time to take care of the little things. So thanks for pointing this out and I'll be looking forward to the resolution.

This is sad.I have not read this post for days and I didn't read that finally some people found the error.Yes, I call it error as it is not represented as reality. So if we are talking about a product of this level, with a price not cheap and even if I say that I love it, purchased from the first day and flying it all the days with any single problem, I think that I am able to claim or at least argue about one error or mistake that I found.If you are not able to see it, if you think that it is not important or if you prefer being a PMDGfan not respecting everyone's opinion, or at least, taking a look and studying arguments before criticizing and disrespecting, enjoy life and try to combine your hobby with social life.For the rest that at least took a minute to compare, check and tried to understand, thank you! I'm sure PMDG have already seen this post mate, so will choose themselves whether or not to fix it. Not much point in keeping bumping it up now, as all that's going to do is cause arguments.
