Longest 737 routes?

Featured Replies

Try the Virgin Samoa (old Polynesian Blue...a subsidiary of Virgin Australia which flies for Samoa) NSFA - YBBN flight. a little over 6 hrs (I've done this twice for work...looooooooooooong flight on a low cost airline). I don't know how much gas is left in the tank at the end but I'm sure it wouldn't be much. Flown in a B738 I understand.

Interesting post in Wikipedia. Several 737 listings, along with many other aircraft/airlines.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Non-stop_flight

Not a real world flight, but I have done Manchester to Boston. Full fuel, 3/4 load, landed with 8000lbs, cost index 20. Could maybe go to JFK but then you are low on reserves.

I do know GOL, from Brazil, does some flights from SBGR to Venezuela...pretty far I guessEduardo Rubini

DL does MIA-LAX as well. Going to do CDG-TLV tomorrow in the 739. Might need a tech stop in ATH.

WestJet does plenty of YVR-YYZ (~1800 NM), and YVR-HNL (2350 NM) routes as well.

KLM663 from EHAM to KIAH is around 4470nm.http://flightaware.c...e/flight/KLM663
That was a joke. It is impossible. I ran FLight Plan at work today with only 9000 payload and 15 mins contingency fuel, no extra, and it gave me a message- Required fuel exceeded specified FOB or TANK capacity. Even 757-300 did not fit that way, too far. B737 max range 3,440 nautical miles per Boeing.

I've seen the plane there a few times at IAH. It's a real flight AFAIK. FYI it is a PrivatAir 737-7AK BBJ -- registration HB-JAA.

It's true. It's on FlightAware.Dr. Dickle, nice find! I've NEVER seen a -800 going from Zurich to Newark. BBJ, maybe? PrivatAir is a charter, I think.

As others have mentioned it is a BBJ. All business class. Low weight, the BBJ runs IAH-AMS with no problems.

That doesn't sound right. Boeing limitation of 737-700 (it is shown 700) is 3,440 nautical miles (6,370 km) or 3,958 statute miles. It traveled 5147 SM. They might have had extra tank hidden somewhere, I am not sure where... I have just asked our pilots at work and they told me, that I was on a crack today LOL.gifIf it was BBJ, that make a difference, that bird has longer range up to 6,200 nm, but not 737-700.

It in fact is true, it's a Privatair BBJ chartered by KLM. KLM discontinued it now and is going to operate it's own planes on the route now

Which is why many people have stated that it is a BBJ
