When do those ERSB notices usually get issued to games? I noticed it was Rating Pending before. Could the January release mentioned on gamepot be accurate? (after the beta testing that is)
From the ESRB website FAQs:How does the rating process work?During the final stages of development and prior to a game being released to the public, game publishers submit responses to a detailed, written questionnaire (often supplementing responses with lyric sheets, scripts, etc.) specifying exactly what pertinent content (as defined by ESRB) will be in their game. Along with the written submission materials, publishers must provide a DVD that captures all pertinent content. This includes typical gameplay, missions, and cutscenes, along with the most extreme instances of content, across all relevant categories, including but not limited to violence, language, sex, controlled substances and gambling. Pertinent content that is not playable (i.e., "locked-out"), but will exist in the code on the final game disc, must also be disclosed.

Beta starts in January, so I doubt we'll see a release the same month.

Does anyone know when the FSX beta came out and the game was released?

Jehan Kateli

Yes, but the NDA still is in effect concerning the actual Beta process. Let's just say it was a long time between.

Or even after 6 hours, 59 minutes, and 59 seconds.
Hahahahahaha!

O-M-F-G!!!!

So Jason the sound guy is a ex-Forza sound guy... Hmm Forza sound has deteriated to hopped up artificial distorted sounds (some people like, but it isn't accurate) in the last couple versions in a attempt to make it sound more raw and exciting, I hope he wasn't appart of this decision and it doesn't carry onto Flight. However the sound clips sounded good.

The NDA for FSX is still in effect? That can't be right.

Yes, it is. We can admit we were a part of the beta process, but the actual process of the beta is still under the NDA.

WHY? the game was released 6 years ago... That's retarded

The time period of the FSX NDA was five years. It expired last year, as far as I can determine. The NDA I signed was identical to this boilerplate Microsoft NDA: http://www.dynamicev...cuments/NDA.pdf

What kind of violence do you think Flight could have? (Don't say "mild").
I understand that in Q3 2012 Microsoft will have a Pilot's Strike add-on for Flight on sale. This is a realistic simulation of a pilot's strike at a major international airline. The violence depicted are the confrontations between passengers stranded in the airport terminal and the skeleton staff the airline happen to have on customer service duty at the time. The amount of violence can be configured by way of three slider settings. The first slider is the average amount of time in hours that the passengers have been stranded. The second slider is the proportion of stranded passengers who were booked for their annual holidays. The third slider is the average out-of-pocket loss the stranded passengers will have incurred at the conclusion of the strike.
