January 10, 201214 yr Very nice screen shots Steve, I especially like the two Screenshots taken as if a camera was positioned on the dash. Ryanair and Thomson are lovely airlines of the UK.What did you have before your ATI card? The reason I ask is if you could compare it to an equivalent nVidia card.Hello,At some point I had both the Nvidia GTX570 (zotac amp edition) and Sapphire HD6970.I was able to do all the testing I wanted and ended up selling the Nvidia card. In every test I made the Ati card outperformed the GTX. I never experienced any problems with clouds or supersampling AA mode (like has been said so many times about Ati cards).I can not speak about other Ati card models as I did not own another one but, for me, the HD6970 is a superb card.I am no Ati ###### at all, I just want what gives me the best results and in my case the Ati card clearly came on top. I am using similar settings in the catalyst suite (version 11.8 iirc) as stated above.my fsx.cfg has a couple of differences though:1. rejectthreshold=983042. TextureMaxLoad=423. TEXTURE_MAX_LOAD=4096I am using the Antilag tool as it gives me a much smoother result than the fps limiter (external batch)With UK2000 gatwick/heathrow/Manchester I am getting a steady 30fps in VC view in the PMDG 747/MD11/737NGXHope that information is useful to you. Is it for ATI only or would you be able to link me to it? Sounds like it could benefit me at the moment as performance is smooth but not as good as it could be. January 10, 201214 yr HI Steve Thanks for allowing me to see your ATI settings,I have an HD 6900 card so slightly different in CCC to yours,But hey ,set up similar to yours and found a marked difference for the better. At UK20000 Gatwick I can get about 28fps using these settings. One question ,what function does tessellation have.Regards Derek Derek C.

January 10, 201214 yr A couple of shots at Gatwick. around 30FPS. i do have rex and also UT2 set to 50% Sorry if this is a silly question, but how have you managed to view the nose / vortex generators in the first image ?The reason for asking is that I see nothing (I'm using EZCA btw) from within the VC beyond the windscreen - I'm obviously missing something here ???RegardsGary
January 10, 201214 yr I think Steve is using TrackIR for the first one. Jude BradleyBeech Baron: Uh, Tower, verify you want me to taxi in front of the 747?ATC: Yeah, it's OK. He's not hungry. January 11, 201214 yr I don't use EZCA nor am i using TrackIR. i use ctrl +shift & backspace :)Hello againThanks for the replies. However, my problem is not how to look over the nose of the aircraft, it's more that when I do look there, there is no actual nose / vortex generators to look at, ie, there's nothing there !!!Would I be correct in assuming that the nose forms part of the VC, as do the airstairs, wings (minus engines) etc ???RegardsGary
